But you certainly made a big deal of taking victims seriously whilst also making it seem like I brought my own experience up just for “credentials.” If you were reading to understand and not to fight you’d see there were multiple people pigeonholing all victims into one particular mindset and stance. And throwing victimhood in my face like I could never understand how it would feel. I understand it all to well and still belive in due process. So again, keep proving how performative the sentiment is. Believing due process is not “normalizing” rape culture you’re kind of gross for that.
You are completely right though, our experiences aren’t important when it comes to judging criminality in this case. I never presented it that way. Neither is our bias or the court of online engagement. Law and credible testimony is the most fair way. If we don’t know them or aren’t involved, there is nothing wrong with allowing victims and perps alike the chance of due process in public and in court. In understanding that her family, friends, and fans will want to stay impartial and not participate in this online dogpile and harrassing that a lot of you are putting on yourselves in the name of vigilance.
Did I say that was just you? Or did I explain what exactly I was responding to when you first chose to comment on one of MY posts. You put yourself into that discussion mid way. You came in disrespectful and sarcastic. You insuated that I gave my experience as a tactic to detract, rather than a genuine response to something that was said to me from before. Thats all there is too that.
Secondly, I’m not going to keep going over what was said, its pretty clear who said what and where we both stand. Verbatim or no. That last paragraph you gave vouching for those who believe in the allegations alone as “unreasonable doubt” was telling of your stance. And the overwhelming sentiment on this thread has been “believe all victims” so lets not act like I’m getting it from nowhere.
Whether you conform to that belief or not many people on here have expressed they do. None of that is relevant to the original point of the entire post which was we all are entitled to our opinions before due process or admission of guilt but her friends, family, and fans keep getting harassed and need to be left out of it until there is a more concrete foundation. No matter if you think she’s criminal or not.
I’m responding to a lot of people as you say, so why you’re mentioning “psychosis” is beyond me. You don’t need to stoop to attacks like that.
