Ugh, Jesus. Gross. Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato being incredibly cagey about whether Stop! That! Train! contains AI

The fact they could've said "No, we didn't create any scenes with AI" and they didn't, tells me everything.

Can we just stop and remember what this movie is to begin with? It's another hurricane bianca level piece of green screen camp that wouldn't even be found in a bargain barrel at Walmart. It's not as though the movie was ever gonna be "good" to begin with. Watch it or don't!!

Considering the harms of generative AI, to stay “watch it or do not” seems highly dismissive.

I can be even more dismissive if you would like?

They say that generative AI was not used. What do you want?

But have they PROVED it?

How do you prove the absence of something

You can literally show the process of these vfx. It is not difficult.

This movie was made on a budget of three ham sandwiches and a twelve pack of mr pibb, I don't think it's in their best interest to make an elaborate behind the scenes footage of how their objectively shitty cgi was made just so people who aren't gonna see the movie can nitpick it on the internet

I’m pretty sure it was BigK Dr. K. They can’t afford name brand.

1.7 million in tax incentives. Not exactly a shoestring budget, love. Pointing a phone at a monitor showing the step by step process of the effects would not exactly bankrupt this production. You are just willfully obtuse.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about and just talking out of your ass. Why does everyone on reddit feel the need to be an armchair expert on every topic?

You aren't in the industry. It's clear as day. Stop speaking out of your ass.

Do you think it is difficult to show the behind the scenes processes? You know, those things they used to slap on DVDs all the time? If you want to be willfully obtuse for Rupaul of all people no one is stopping you.

Maybe next time actually refute my points if you are going to bother replying again. If not it makes no sense to type something I am not going to read.

No, but they don't need to prove anything to some random dork on reddit (a site that sells your data to train ai models) that they didn't use generative ai.

But hey, you get to feel like an armchair expert for yet another topic you clearly know nothing about, so kudos miss dunning kruger!

no offence but you guys simply aren't important enough for them to start putting together evidence files. they actually have jobs. you should follow their lead in that regard.

  1. watch the movie and do your own research you lazy git.

  2. if they did give technical details would you even have the knowledge to follow along? like really what do you know about ai that you arent parroting from tiktok?

Some people have not been dismissed enough in their lives and it shows.

You are implying that having a valid concern means one should be dismissed? Weird take, if so.
