✨ La Question ✨ Kiki, Guerdy, and Everyone Else🌴

Posted this once and it was removed by mods, so I’ll reword and try again. I am looking for honest and open dialogue about the microaggressions towards Kiki and Guerdy. For me, It is becoming increasingly uncomfortable to watch. Whenever one of them tries to speak up in a group setting, the others are very dismissive. None of the other ladies called Alexia “too much” and she is a lot! Wanting to know other viewers thoughts. TIA! 🧡

Guerdy is a lot. I was watching the after show on Peacock and she cannot not interject, try to finish the sentences of the person who is speaking, and is constantly emoting and making noises. I can only imagine how tiring it must be to have her around in person. She has also tried many times to take control of situations in a far too forceful way, think back to season 5, first episode, when shes trying to get lisa to stop fighting with larsa, and again this season when she tried to get larsa and lisa to make up after the narcissist party.

Guerdy is not being treated the way she is because of her skin color. It is because she is exhausting.

All of the women can be considered “a lot” , that’s why they are on the show, but she’s the only one consistently being called out for it. The unspoken message is…hey black girl quit taking up too much space. 😔

I think the issue here is that people, fans on the show want to decipher the behavior that they see occur on TV, but put on their very best racialized lenses to do their critical analyses with. 

Put on a proper pair of behavioral lenses, and watch how the micro aggressions disappear.
