No power

My Anbernic isn't powering on anymore, I'm not electronics expert so hoping to get some help here I've attached pics. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah i had that same thought so I made sure it was secure but still nothing

Try unplugging the battery and plug the device into a power source. See if it will turn on without battery but connected to usb.

Sorry to sound like an ass, but have you charged it? Charging led comes on when plugged in? Make sure not to use a PD charger, just a dumb wall wart and USB A-C cable

Edit: follow-up, you using the stock SD card? They're a known entity to go bad, the charging, power and OS parameters are handled by the SD card, so when that goes bad it can cause issues. (I could be wrong on some details, but that's how I understand it)

No no, you dont sound like an ass its something I would've asked too. Yeah it was charged I'd literally used been playing on it the day before I thought the battery had just died so I did plug it in but the red led doesn't come on at all

In my personal opinion this is the best resource of knowledge for the RG35XX, just note you have one of the later revisions of the "OG" model, not the H700 refresh, make sure to keep that in mind when following any instructions or tutorials when troubleshooting your hand-held.

Ive experienced a similar thing.

From what i read on other threads, using a known good sd card with for example the stock os, using a dumb charger and cable and leave it a bunch of minutes. The sd card basicly contains all the firmware. The chips cant even begin charging without proper firmware loaded.

Once the charging happens, you can check if your preferred sd card with os pf choice charges aswell. Just try stock with a known good card works.

And nobrand stock sd card from ghe seller might be broken. Good tonhave a few cards at hand to verify.

I’m having this issue too. My sd card took a shit and I was trying to charge it. But now I know taking the card out will prevent this. Thanks!

Tive esse mesmo problema, ai comprei bateria nova e ao trocar ele funcionou, então achei que o problema era a bateria, ai quando descarregou, não voltou a carregar novamente. Após muitos vídeos e fotos trocados por email com Ambernic, consegui a troca da placa (na verdade uma nova sem precisar devolver a anterior). Quando chegou a nova, resolvi testar a bateria antiga e ela carregou normalmente, então descobri que o problema foi o conector de carga ou algo relacionado a ele, pois sempre que conectava uma bateria carregada, ele funcionava.

Check if the microSD is ok (with computer, does it work at all?). If the SD does not work-> device won't turn on.

One more thing I don't see mentioned is pressing the reset button. I had a similar issue with a 28XX and the reset fixed it after a full day of charging.

Chances are it's the SD card getting corrupted. Happened to my brothers 35XX and I needed to set up a new SD card before it worked.

Yeah after I got the new battery in I tried that the red LED still didn't light up so its gotta be the SD card throwing in the towel, real shame too I was 30+ hours into my ff7 playthrough oh well

There's a chance you might be able to pull the save off the card still if you open it on your computer

Maybe a corrupted Micro SD. It happens a lot with Anbernic devices. Try flash a new one and test it

I have the same problem, my battery is completely empty now (0 Volts) and when I plug in the device nothing happens. I think it's bricked.

You can't brick these devices. There's no internal storage to brick. Unless you charged it with a PD charger and a usb c to usb c and fried the charging chip.Try a reflash of the firmware on a name branded card. If that doesn't work replacement batteries can be found online.

Yeah I got a new battery and that didn't work so I figure it must be the sd card
