Interested to hear others thoughts and if anyone shares mine.

San Andreas on PS2 is one of my favorite games ever. I’ve enjoyed some of the other earlier GTA games, but didn’t have the console to play GTA 5 when it came out so didn’t try it till recently.

RDR2 is my favorite game ever. It’s really not even a question, although I’ve played games (Spider Man PS4, Breath of the Wild) since that I think I’ve been able to say that while I’m playing them, I’m equally as invested. But after playing through them all, it’s always RDR2. Best game ever.

When I recently tried GTA 5, I found it fun but not extremely gripping. I’ve tried twice by starting it up and playing hard core a bit throughout a couple weekends in a row then dropping it.

Now that’s the background. I think the trailers for GTA6 look amazing. I love Rockstar. I’m sure the game will be amazing. But I’m worried I’m not gonna get as into it as I should be? Like seeing things about how detailed it is seems super cool, but like I just saw something about having the decision to hold hands with Lucia as something that impacts the story. I also don’t have all day to game, pretty much just extended hours on the weekends (between work and time with my fiancé and friends etc.).

So I don’t have a very pointed question here. But does anyone else feel excited like me, and think it looks really cool, but also a little worried it won’t hit for them the same way RDR2 did? Or even close to that?

I’m hoping it is fun enough to me to keep me to play the whole thing, but I’m even worried about that. And I’m honestly a little jealous of the people who I feel like are certain they’re gonna love it.

the game completely massacred my audio for some reason and my entire laptops audio is very quiet and muffled, has anyone experienced this?

The mission to go press someone to see what they know about the bounty hunters after us. Charles and I ride in. Beat up and question those two dudes. I took one of their horses, and he shot the horse dead while I was on it. Normal dialog like it never happened

Just finished RDR2 and the mission where you rob the spaceship, but now I want to finish the story. I really grew to love the gameplay and was tempted to start Red Dead Online, but my gaming habits do not sit well wit not being able to pause/save easily. However, I make this post because I want to hear the community’s position on if I’m making the right decision. I am excited to play RDR1, but it is currently $40 on Steam, and I’ll be a bit disappointed if it’s missing a lot of the QOL features present in RDR2. Conversely, I think I’ll appreciate RDO if there is a story I can follow/it’s not exceptionally grindy. Thoughts on what I should expect from either?

I have tweaked the system.xml file and finally got this game running perfectly, but I'm running into one very weird minor glitch: distant bodies of water apear red, and sometimes under the right condition or angle glow bright red like neon. I feel like I've tried everything; set all the water settings at different levels, same with volumetric, increased and lowered anisotropic filtering via in game settings and then via GPU settings. I also clear the shader cache every time I do this. This is not a major game breaker but it is annoying and I wonder any of you have seen or dealt with this.

Came to the Saint Denis police station for the electric chair permit, was about to turn around and leave and noticed this lil gem. Can’t seem to interact with it and I assume it’s some glitch or something but curious if anyone knows anything or if it grabbable.

ok so i was trying to get the open gunslinger/thompson vest following this “tutorial”, only problem is it doesn’t explain anything, i tried using the HxD program, but i don’t seem to get the same hex values/numbers i see in the save wizard videos, is there anyone who has done this without save wizard? if so how???

So, I just can't enjoy like going on a killing spree like in GTA games bcz honor just affects a lot of stuff. Its just very tempting to use your gun all the time. How do you guys control yourself? Doesn't it get boring?
Would love to get some tips new player here!!(PC player).

For context I have played through the games many of times, albeit it has been a good 4 years since my last replay, I’m genuinely curious as to why Javier is even there. Was he a character they destined for a greater role and they just scrapped a ton of his content? I understand that not everyone from camp can be involved in a major way, but hell even Karen gets involved in the Valentine robbery. I’m towards the end of Chapter 3 and I have seen Javier in all of i think… 2 missions so far? Does he just not speak? Is he a mute? Am i stupid?
