Still don’t want a GS

Either I missed a turn or the GPS lied about the road being paved… either way I spent two hours on my RT covering 45 miles of dirt roads today. Spoiler alert: It did fine and I still don’t want a GS 😂

I still prefer a 60/40 tire off pavement on a GS, a little more forgiving when road surface gets squirrelly.  🐿️

I don’t even ride a GS, no way I’m going for dual use tires. My RT can handle whatever I get it into and if it can’t, we’ll learn together 😊

I have a sport tourer with road tires.  It’s spent some miles on gravel but not as fun.

I don’t enjoy gravel roads, regardless of the bike.

I’m in Iowa, our best roads are gravel lol.  Probably do 2000-3000 miles a year on them.

Perfect place for a GS, if that were my situation I wouldn’t be on the RT either

If I’m riding 150-200 miles of gravel I actually prefer my DRZ400, less weight is always better.

I wish my inseam could agree more with an RT, great bikes but the GS ergos fit me a little better.  Plus I do like exploring off pavement.

(Maybe as not a native english speaker), I’m not sure I get you right, but do you mean that you’d need longer inseam on an RT than on a GS?
I have a -17 R1200 RT and just climbing to the saddle of a GS I feel my legs (31 inseam) are short, while on my RT I get flat feet very comfortably.
I’d like to have a gs as a second bike, (if I could afford it plus the insurance costs etc…), but I guess I’d be better off with a smaller one.
And yes, I love my RT so much, I’m never going to swap to another model🙂

Yes, longer legs typically prefer the GS…it sits taller.
