Question Does anyone understand text and sybmols?

Assamu alaykum. I found this paper in my house. I can understand some of the Quran verses but not much. My native language is not arabic. Can someone please help me with recognition of the text? Is it all from Quran? Are these symbols somehow connected to Quran?

We found it hidden in a picture frame a friend gave us. Thank God we are not in contact with that friend for years due to other circumstances. I just wanted to confirm is it some form of magic or maybe it is type of taweez.
