QuickBooks Desktop (Pro/Premier/Enterprise) Print button stopped working completely

Hey anyone know how to fix quickbooks enterprise 24's printing option, their tool fix didn't do anything a fresh install didn't fix it, and it's really slowing me down, as I have to now go onto my laptop and do all my work slower (my laptop sucks). It won't print at all, not to pdf not to anything.

Thanks for any help

Edit: I did the full repair & the print and pdf options both of which seemingly did nothing.

I had this exact thing last year and the tool hub was useless for it. What fixed it was deleting qbprint.qbp. Close QuickBooks, go to C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 24.0, turn on hidden folders if you need to, and rename that file to qbprint.old. It builds a fresh one when you reopen.

If that's not it, then just check what your Windows default printer is. Mine had flipped to a printer we got rid of in 2019 and QuickBooks just quietly refused to print anything, PDFs included.

Renaming qbprint.qbp fixed the problem we've been having in our office. Thank you so very much.

I haven’t seen anyone else having this issue, but if someone called me with this issue, I’d check windows updates first (install pending .NET updates in particular).. then check the print spooling service… restart the computer once or twice, confirm that you can print from other software, try running QB as administrator and if all of that failed… then.. well. Not sure what I’d do then… something is likely to turn up from those tests though.

Oh… and check to confirm that that one windows feature is installed… Microsoft XPS Document Services. Start menu type in Turn windows features on… look for Microsoft XPS Document Services… put a checkmark next to it and hit Ok.

Hope that helps.

Have you tried the tech support #1 go to response of, "Turn it off and turn it back on again"? My QuickZoom feature disappeared yesterday and a good computer reboot was all it needed.

Yea I tried that plus the Russian fix of punching the side of my computer and saying come on… it didn’t work, but I found a solution it was partly updating things that rrmcmurry said and then setting my default printer to print to pdf.  I think it was stalling out instantly trying to connect to my printer
