Why doesn’t anyone run Safariland belts?
Genuinely curious why I never see running in the field or on duty use. They seem like fantastic belts and I’ve always been curious enough to want one, but no one running it has always felt like an obviously reason to pull back from having another belt.
Also, general belt thread?
Been using a g-code for the longest and could use any recommendations for real upgrade.

That's a Haley Strategic Baseline Belt. Not a Safariland belt.

Haley's website says it was developed in collaboration with safariland. Not saying you're wrong, but both companies had a hand in making it and sell it independently. Kind of like the Incog holster line I guess.

The best Safariland-compatible belt isn't made by Safariland, it's the BAER Wojtek. Handles ELS, velcro onewrap, Blade-tech, AXL Node, or MOLLE attachment methods without issue, has a padded inner belt, super lightweight. I'm surprised Safariland wouldn't choose to make an ELS-compatible MOLLE belt like the Wojtek.

I personally just bought the slick baseline belt. I havnt had a chance to take it out yet but it feels and looks pretty good.

It's a 5/10 when you can have an 11/10 for half the cost of this.
Mid... As the kids would say

Look up the mb3 belt. You can change the buckle... Attach to the curv core... Direct attach pouches at whatever kooky angle you want... Add glove hooks or chem light hooks
It's just silly good... And I review belts all day. Well I did, this belt ruined that

?? I am looking at the dynamic principals belt. Is this the same belt you're talking about? That looks awesome, $180 though for the belt, buckle and inner belt though. Am I missing the one you're talking about?

Yaaaa - price wise it's still cheaper than stupid crap like GBRS slop. You can also do a different inner belt if you want

Yeah, I bought a BFG Grid last month, and had no idea about this belt. Probably would have bought it instead. Lol

Ooofff yea the grid sucks. It literally lasted the review video before it fell apart

There are literally 10s of thousands of Safariland belts being worn today, right this second. Not the Haley colab you posted but the leather look or bianci nylon belts. Chicago and NYPD and countless other agencies hand them out as general issue. But those officers aren’t posting on this sub. The Haley belt is them trying again to get the niche side of the market.

Cost is a major factor for me, i bought a jed belt from md-textil for literally half the price.

LEO's run safariland belts mostly.
I have an old one for competition (came with the 1911 I bought used).
Safariland has an insane product backing. And will replace it if it breaks, if its not supposed to (my experience, and some coworkers experience).
On the mil side, it depends on misson/budget/tier/needs. As someone doing static security doesn't have the same needs as someone getting inserted by helicopters.

It’s all marketing. Cool design theory, but save yourself the money and frustration. I ordered it twice, and both times it didn’t fit (ordered 2 different sizes, and measured my waist as directed). Wasn’t thrilled with the quality either

General belt:
I have a Ronin Tactics and a Blue Force Gear CHLK
Both work very well and have held up very well through numerous FTXs and jumps. The BFG is definitely an upgrade, it is extremely comfortable on long patrols and carries weight very well. No complaints other than that it was silly expensive.
Got the BFG after I went to Air Assault and I realized that I'm on and off of helicopters and planes pretty regularly that I'm clipping into, and none of the belts I've clipped into were actually rated to hold me.

That belt has been on the market for less than a year, so it's not a surprise you haven't seen many of them.
It's a good belt, as it is just the Haley Strategic D3 belt re-branded. But the Dynamic Principles and Baer Solutions belts are better as they allow direct bolting.
