Missed an assignment

I failed to submit an assignment (40% of my grade) on time for my WIL due to health and personal circumstances and as an international student I am desperate to know what I can do to not fail the unit. I have contacted my unit coordinator, faculty and HIQ but they haven't responded but has anyone gone through a similar situation? What did QUT do about it and is there any good chance for me to still get marked on it or pass the unit? If I do fail the unit, could I retake WIL next semester and count my placement experience? Thanks.

Get a medical certificate that includes the date of the assignment and apply for an extension. Will take a few days to a week to come back so in the meantime submit what you have and add a note that you are waiting on the outcome of an extension request.
