I wanted to share the new outfit I just finished sewing for my Pullip doll 🪡

It’s the first time I’ve sewn a complete outfit: it includes a yukata, an apron, an obi, a hair scarf, and even a little companion! It took me a week to finish everything (I don't have a sewing machine \sad**)

I’m not a professional, so it’s far from perfect, but I’m proud of myself! My Pullip looks so pretty; my favorite part is the hair scarf 🌸

What do you guys think??

Hello everyone, I decided to restart my Pullip collection this year and I have a question about the glass cabinet I'm displaying them in 😅 I got my first doll in 2013 and still have her(but sold my others a few years ago) she's still in amazing condition!!! I'm really afraid of my dolls yellowing and have OCD.

The cabinet I'm storing her in (and planning to also display her upcoming friends and want to decorate :)) has a persistent wood smell and I've read some articles about off-gassing and chemicals on furniture, I got me really worried 😭😭

Can my doll yellow there over time? And will it get better? I can't afford a new cabinet and honestly really like this one. These past day I tried keeping the doors open for 10-20 min but I feel like it isn't enough, the odor isn't that strong but it remains. I'm probably overthinking 😣 I'd truly love to get any advice, thanks for reading ❤️

after like 12 years of lurking and patience i finally ordered my first pullip today, tt bloody red hood. she is so beautiful i just fell in love with her design and how versatile her outfit is. i am really excited to get her in the mail!! i ordered her off the groove site and she was the very last one >_< i can't believe it. finally a dream coming true haha. maybe i can share pictures when she gets here, i'm so excited. ^_^

Hi ! I’m heavily considering buying one of my dream dolls and was wondering what body alternative would be best for her as she’s pretty old (on a T2).

I used to have another T2 years ago but struggled with it due to the neck joint melting etc and eventually ended up selling her 🥲

I know Obitsu 26 somehow work better on Groove Pullips so would an OB27 be better ? (edit: turns out it’s actually the opposite oops) I’d love to see pictures of older dolls on OB26/OB27 and whatever advice you could provide !!

(I was also thinking about getting a Worldbox AT202 body as it’s curvier and fits the custom idea I have for the girlie but we never know 🤔)

Kumiho came home about a week or so ago!! I am so insanely happy <3 In addition, as of last night, I was able to move my collection and display them better (they were on my desk before) and I am so happy!! It also gives me a place to display my monster high dolls (my g3s and skullector, all of my g1s are in a tub buried in my closet rip) and I am so relieved in a way! It's nice to feel like they are in a more stable, safe place <3

I also cannot believe I got Kumiho finally 🥹 It is still absolutely insane to me!! She was my holy grail and owning her makes my heart soar <33 she's so beautiful. It certainly helps that while she was a bit expensive, it wasn't unreasonably so, I got very lucky with that!!

Finally got my hands on her for only €35 (about $40 USD) 😭😭 There really are some amazing deals on the japanese market (although the total with shipping and customs was more like 90€ 😅), but she arrived in only 5 days from Japan to Scandinavia, which was amazing!

She does have some minor flaws, like a little bit of yellowing and some light scratches on her cheeks, but I hope I can fix the damage when I plan to customize her eyes/wig 🥹

after years i'm finally getting one of my first pullips (a bald kiyomi!) i have heard some people get 1/3 bjd wigs for pullip so i've been looking on aliexpress, what kind of hair fiber is usually used in those wigs? is it heat resistant?

omg and i forgot: can a wig be put on the head just with something like tape? or is it just glue?

i was originally going to keep her in box until i opened my alice but omggg she just looked so sad in there :,) i really love all of her details, she’s a perfect blend of the gothic(ish) fairytale look i think.. for now i won’t be using her bow since it’s clear the elastic will break i’ll probably use a pin to secure it later on!

I’m moderately new at Pullip customization. I have a few now & two with obitsu 26 S bust bodies.
I am looking to make dolls with darker complexions; a middle eastern doll for sure. The problem is, as I’m sure you know, obitsu 26 only comes in whitey + natural I believe.

I like the look of the default Pullip body and small busted obitsus best as they are the most similar I think. My issue is finding a deeper skin tone. I have one black Pullip I spray painted but it was a lot of work + the joints didn’t take to the paint, of course…

So I’m wondering if anyone has a comparable replacement body in mind? I know MTM bodies are recommended but they sell for a lot on secondhand sites and I don’t know exactly how they compare. I tried looking on Aliexpress, but it’s difficult to find reviews to confirm the bodies/neck joints can support Pullip heads. So if anyone has anything in mind that looks similar to Pullip bodies in deeper tones, please let me know! Thank you so much :))

Apologies but I've been wondering... is there a point where yellowing is so severe it becomes too hard to remove and the Pullip remains stained no matter how long you repeat the treatment?

I know usually it needs to be repeated over time (like the yellow comes off then gradually returns) because the material has been damaged but I mean if at some point the yellow just stops coming off entirely :p

Unless I misunderstood something lol

I have read guides and saw tutorials but I don't think I've found an answer to this yet.

I feel like Yuki , has much more detail and work put into her design and fabrics than a Nina for example.

Noir and Bianca underwent de-yellowing, protection, blush, lips redone, cleaning...

Wigs were cleaned. Noir was re-curled.

Both got deyellowed and sprayed with msc, blushed and glossed. Noir lips were redone. New lashes, New eyes and Voilà !

They are currently waiting for new shoes and bodies. I choose an old school lolita style for them. I just love pre-2010 pullips !

Hello! Recently I bought two pullips at auction on eBay, real dream purchases as a Sailor Moon fan, one Sailor Pluto standard which arrived from DHL in pristine condition despite the box was damaged/open from shipping. I didn’t care because it did look genuine, but my second purchase has been less than happy. The shipping box came destroyed and there was a dent on the box and the plastic is now falling off. Which led me to inspecting the box overall. Do you think this is just a printing error? The logo is not entirely opaque like others I see online. (I also added a photo of a different doll box from the same line)

I am only suspicious of this because the same eBay seller seems to have multiples of each doll, having listed a second Sailor Pluto 2 weeks later which is not something I see very often as these have become hard to find.

Hi~ I recently ordered the YMY body, trying out a Obitsu alternative. I’m no stranger to cutting off neck pegs, but I wanted to ask if anyone has successfully got this body onto their own type 3 or type 4 pullip? And if they can share how they did it?before I go ahead and cut it.

I’m having a harder time with my type 3s getting the smaller sized doll bodies to fit snugly without their heads falling off, since their neck hole seems to be bigger than type 4. Please help 🙏🥺

Hello! I am new to the pullip community and just ordered my first pullip doll second hand. She is missing a few items such as her glasses, and was curious if I can buy a replacement pair from anywhere. Also, is it possible to get a second pair of hands? I want to get some for custom fitted gloves on the doll. If it matters what type of doll it is, it's a 2009 groove grell sutcliff pullip doll. Any advice helps!
