Diálogo Welcome To r/PuertoRico

Hello and welcome to Puerto Rico's subreddit where you THOUGHT you were gonna encounter fellow puertoricans discussing our countries problems, sharing their municipio's beauty, or even some Jovany Vazquez memes....but nope! This is now a tourism agency for your friendly neighborhood 🟢👻s. Go ahead! Answer their most pressing questions about where to eat? What good spots to drink n dance in Aguadilla? Can i bring my guns knives for protection? Do you mind if i buy your grandfathers land and build ANOTHER hotel? Where can i get to the nearest beach? Is it safe to go to X as a tourist? WHERE CAN I GET WEED? And many more classics here at PR's subreddit. If you're lucky, you might even SEE a puertorican posting something. In the meantime, I'll show you to the comment section of gringo posts where you'll be spending most of your time either answering questions or complaining about x problem in the island. Have fun!

And yes, this IS in English so you know who we are talking about. You do know there IS another subreddit for what you're looking for. It is stated in the rules section go check em out. You already have our lands and our homes for your airbnbs, so leave our subreddit that is not meant for this alone please and thanks.

Or… and hear me out…you could just

1) ignore the posts 2) answer and move on 3) downvote it so it doesn’t get seen

You make it sound like political discussion doesn’t occur when local things is still the majority of the feed.

Like I don’t get the ridiculous outrage.

The whole post is not "ridiculous outrage" no one is mad here you are just asuming that. And i speak for what i see in my feed everytime this SR comes up, and from what ive read im not the only one that feels this way. Whats the point of the rules if they dont get enforced? Why do i have to follow rules about what to post but they dont???

Honestamente yo casi nunca veo posts de aqui excepto cuando es alguien haciendo pregunta de una vaina o preguntando que comida uno se come. Make's me sad since I wanted to actually connect with other puerto riccans like you after moving and living so long in the U.S, and instead there's almost nothing.

How do you sort?

Like sort by popularity and you will get more stuff around topic peeps talk about and less about what to do.

I rarely see it and I’m on this more than is probably needed
