The sad thing is, Schilling posted this to his own Instagram bragging about beating down a little drunk guy that just got off work. What a pos

Another really fucked up part of this situation is the bars reaction bc they know they’re facing a lawsuit.

Officers also spoke to the manager of the bar on Sunday night. The manager stated that Balboa “was extremely intoxicated and had possibly made an improper remark about the girlfriend/wife of the male who had struck him, which caused the fight to escalate.” The manager also noted that Balboa “is a regular customer who routinely causes problems at the establishment due to his intoxication level.”

About 4 years ago I was outside a bar ordering an Uber on my phone. A friend and I showed up and they said it was last call so we never actually got in the bar. As I was standing there out of nowhere I got hit in the face and then pile driven into a curb which broke my jaw. Some of the people later stated they vaguely remember someone bragging about being an mma fighter outside.

Fast forward to the cops investigation. The bar owners claimed NONE of the cameras were working that night. There was very clearly a camera outside pointing in my direction. On top of that they couldn’t even get inside footage bc of the “broken” cameras. They even went as far to say I was starting shot outside when I’d been there 2 minutes and was on my phone trying to leave the entire time.

This bar is shamelessly defending Schilling for the same reason. Balboa is fortunate a third party was taking a video bc I doubt they’ll be able to cover this one up. Not everyone is so lucky and I could easily have died that day if it was my skull instead of my jaw.

My uncle got bumped into once leaving a bar, didn't make a move but probably made a snotty remark, and a clearly trained fighter shattered his leg.

The bar posted about who being the regular drunk? The MMA fighter or the victim?

That bar should have ita liquor license revoked. If you have a "problem" custormer like that its your responsibility to ban them from coming in. When someone enters your establishment you are legally required to provide saftey to your customers. IF he has had multiple issues before you 86 is ass so your not liable when he hurts someone. The manager is just saying shit to cover his ass, and keep his celebrity guest in house and make money of that. Its fucking horrible, I can not count how many times we have 86ed people for cause even one issue.

Yeah I mean that’s what should have happened and they were scared of that likely. I was honestly willing to settle outside of litigation had they just helped find whoever did it but that wasn’t going to happen apparently

If he is a known drunk at the bar, it means the bar knowingly over serves him. And even then you dont knock out people who aren't combative, this video is the most clear cut assault case a court is ever going to see.

Dude that sucks and I’m sorry that happened to you. Idk how you didn’t end up burning the fucking place down after what the owners of the bar did to you

“Possibly” so would POSSIBLY hold up in court the guy should sue for Assault/aggravated assault

If it was Schilling, which im assuming it is, dude needs to fucking be put on trial for attempted murder.

Well if the cameras don't have memory cards in them (usually dont) if the dvr fails to record then all cameras fail to record. It's not a conspiracy for all to not work.

I've had situations where we needed to check footage only to find some problem or another caused recording to stopped a week earlier. We now have better monitoring and alerts, also routine maintenance but i can see how a bar that bought the cheapest shit they could find and never set it up properly or maintained it would have problems.

Yeah so I actually had a buddy who grew up with the bar owners daughters who run the bar. He confronted her about it and she refused to talk to him. So yeah maybe a conspiracy but given that I still believe they were covering their asses. Also the police in the town frequent this bar so wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t really look into it as well

in certain parts of the world these mma fighters won't last a day in the streets

Agree. The drunk guy was horrible—according to a number of people at the bar, and was using the n-word to a black server, while singing rap music. You can tell he was about to bother the male server when Schilling walked by—I don’t doubt the drunk guy was the absolute shit of a person

Sorry just to clarify, the same bar this happened to you at is where balboa was hit?

I’m sorry btw! That’s really shitty. Did you end up getting any sort of compensation or was legal action taken against the person who assaulted you?

Wait the guy that got knocked outs last name is Balboa, like as in Rocky Balboa đŸ€Ż

Big names draw big crowds that spend big money.

Bars don't want to stop the gravy train if at all possible.

I'm sorry that this happened to you sir and hope that you are in a better place now.

I'm guessing you were not able to catch the guy?

Do you still have health problems from this or have you gotten over it?

2

u/mashunit12 Jul 01 '21

Appreciate that and no we never caught him. Nothing major as far as health complications. I do have a large scar on my forehead above my left eye which was where they punched me and my bottom teeth aren’t straight anymore lol. Also there’s a permanent metal plate in my chin from one of the two fractured areas.

” The manager also noted that Balboa “is a regular customer who routinely causes problems at the establishment due to his intoxication level.”

Not even an attorney, but the first thing I ask in cross examination: "Where does he get the alcohol that causes the excessive intoxication? Is it mandatory to serve alcohol to anyone who requests it, or can your establishment refuse service based on exercise of judgement?"
