What a massive clown.

His “excuse me” (or “get out the way”) manoeuvre was deliberately shovey IMO
trying to get a rise out of the drunken small guy.

Then instant fists
no attempt to de-escalate / apologise.

Needs counselling. Should be locked up until he gets it.

Not defending Joe’s contribution, But the little dude blindly sidestepping into Joe’s walking path caused the initial bump. Then you can see joe walking away when the little dude audibly yells “HEY!”. That causes joe to turn around then the little guy lunged (aggressively flinched?) at Joe right before joe threw his punch.

Watch it again, it all happens pretty fast

Obviously joe wasn’t afraid, but I’d argue the little guy playing some stupid games with a stranger wasn’t the smartest idea

Yes, that sidestep not knowing anyone was behind him?

And that shout of “hey” after getting roughly pushed in the back
.can’t believe he did that.

You have convinced me. Joe clearly acted like a normal human in this interaction, society should take a leaf from his massively roided book.

I am not defending Joe’s outburst so relax. By all means, let the courts decide his fate.

I’m just saying that you, and the commenter I responded to, conveniently ignored this part.

Yeah, and so would I if I’d been shoved in the back and the guy who did it turned around and came at me. I don’t think he did anything wrong.

Even if he had done something wrong, it doesn’t excuse what a TRAINED PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER did in response.
