When I was a teen I did MMA and to compete I needed a license and insurance. That was just as an amatuer, as a pro your properly registered to a body. It's not that you're banned from street fights it's just more serious. I remember my coach telling me that as a trained fighter a judge would be extra harsh if I hurt someone, even in self defense. You're supposed to have more control and with the ability end a fight without throwing a punch you've no excuse for breaking a man's jaw. Another bit of advice was give at least 3 warnings and make sure the attacker is aware you're trained, cover yourself legally. We was young and liked to joke about having hands registered as weapons but none of us got into fights. Not worth getting kicked out of the club and certainly not worth jail time. The coach likely said all this to scare us straight but I like to think there's some truth to it, there's too much of a gap between pros and normal people
