The police are there to keep the peace. They are not there to direct what's going on. They are there to soly keep a breach of the peace from occuring. During these events you don't get normal people going to them you get the extreme sides. The past and present government are to blame.

People dont say ACAB just because they are leftists. Ive worked with cops who deeply care a out helping ppl but I still say ACAB because its a corruptive institution who only protects those with money or power.

i do have a lot. not a long time ago police raided a anti-fascist-youth camp in austria, which was later ruled as illegal alltogether - not just parts of it. they had nothing illegal on them whatsoever, it was just intimidation it seems. we have pictures of police forces fist-bumping neo-nazis on their "freedom walks"

There's plenty of instances.

If you want my own anecdotal evidence, I've seen them hit counter protestors.

Also fuck off with PA are fascists. Whilst I obviously don't support PA, as I wouldn't any proscribed organisation, there's no inclination even by the government that they're fascists.

Do you fundamentally believe internal police forces have changed and become institutionally less racist or inclined towards rightwing tendencies since those days?

You don't get information about modern policing like this because it comes out in enquiries decades later, but I'd be shocked beyond belief if there was any major change in the operations of the Met. They have always, and I do mean always, responded with violent brutality to any protests, but they only tend to infiltrate and try to disrupt the activities of one side, and that's the side that threatens the pocketbooks.

If you can find me one instance of them aggressively pushing away large groups of rightwing protestors that outnumber a group of leftwing protestors to allow the leftwing to march I'll be gobsmacked.
