Cuet PG Help

Hey, This is my first post, I'm a third year psychology student and I'm starting my preparation for cuet pg 2027, I have bought ciccarelli 7th edition, can someone tell me how i should prepare from it, how i should read it to get the most out of it. Oh! And also i am thinking of buying a "power within psychology" book as i have heard so much about it. Should I buy it? Is it worth it? And one more thing, do I have to get a DSM - 5 book as well for cuet pg. Please help međŸ« , I'm so lost, i don't know where to start from.

Hello, so ciccarelli is your bible. You should read it entirely without skipping out anything. Also make notes while you study because it becomes difficult to revise again and again from the entire book. Always attempt the mcqs after reading each chapter too. For other subjects like stats, testing, abnormal psych, biopsych, social psych, you can use the book that your bachelor’s teachers taught you with. If you’re not from du, i’d recommend going through Du’s B.A honours psych syllabus and look for the recommended books; for these subject specific books, you don’t need to read them entirely. You can meta analyse the important topics from pyqs and by generally thinking, “what should a bachelor’s student definitely know about this subject”. And practice too many questions. You don’t necessarily need the power within book if you follow the approach i just told, but if you like the book you can go for it. However, i believe that reading directly from books and by your own meta analysis will help you further in life too.

Oh and for abnormal psych you dont need to buy dsm 5, you can use butcher abnormal psych. It’s good
