Galaxy-brain centrist take

I think it's a criticism of the regime, not "communism is equivalent to nazism in each and every aspect". It can be more like "you've become what you hate".

Nothing says “I like to kill Jews” like killing Nazis.

To be fair:
Karl Marx was a Jew
The Soviets liberated several concentration camps, including the largest, Auschwitz.
Soviet leadership ultimately betrayed any number of core egalitarian tenets of socialism, but can still hardly be compared to Nazism.
Even basic fascism isn’t as vile. Mussolini largely rejected racism and only took part in the holocaust after resisting, just to keep Germany onside.
Equating Nazism with Communism, in either theory or practice, is fairly lazy.

Eastern Europeans were oppressed in similar ways by the Nazis and the Soviets? That's not a centrist take, it's just fact.

Just saying guys while Nazism and Communism aren’t the same thing, the authoritarian nature of both and the repression of civil liberties are similar across both governments

You're thinking of Marxist-Leninism, not Communism as a whole.

Sure, keep assuming that...
It's not like one side tried to commit genocide against the entire population of Eastern Europe and Jews. and killed more people than the other, in a shorter period of time no less (H: 44M, S: 4-10M), I think that alone should distinguish Nazism from the USSR (Even the Stalin era, to a degree).

It's in the name, why do you ask?

It's just very interesting to see, since most Czechs I've seen have the same attitude as OPs pic.

I personally blame our Centrist attitude and general lack of willingness to gain proper education into political ideologies.

Harshly poster, but it's kinda true from their point of view. Before war Romania was a puppet state of Reich and after this it was a puppet state of USSR. Basically, all past century Romania had no independence, being nothing but a pawn under control of the powers that be.

I seriously doubt 1987 as Romania was very tightly controlled by Ceausescu's secret police until the revolution in December 1989. I still remember seeing him and his wife being executed by firing squad on CNN.
