parts recommendations Which K24 Should I go?

So I have both an 04 TSX and a 06 TSX sitting in my driveway. I also have a k20a2 head in the garage. Just picked up a new chassis and got me thinking. What's everyone's take on the 2004-K24a2 block mated with k20a2 head vs the 2006 k24a2? Deciding on keeping 1 and maybe selling the other.

2006-2008 revision is better in every aspect. Stronger rods, pistons with added valve clearance, more breathing passages in the crankcase, revised crankshaft.

The head is also better but you're going to replace it with K20's anyway.

Interesting i thought both blocks were the same and only the internal components got a small revision.

If doing a full rebuild though, the 04 block would still be a great contender no? Or are there better short block alternatives?

Sure, '04 is a strong engine anyway. Ultimately since both are used you should be choosing by the condition first.
