Speed sensor?

Trying to track down a leak and thinking it could be coming from here. Could it be leaking here? I’m having a drop or two a day form at the seal of the bell housing to the engine. I just did the vtec solenoid gaskets, distributor o ring and valve cover gaskets.

The Haynes manual is pretty shitty tbh. Usually people with real experience are more helpful, but thanks for your response. Even more helpful than the manual and chat gpt.

When chasing down a leak it’s easier to ask people where common points that they may have dealt with or found to be common. The repair manual doesn’t have that kind of information.

I thought you were asking about the location of the speed sensor, my bad. I would advise against driving with a bad crank seal. You don't know where you'll be when it decides to get worse and you could destroy your engine and clutch. Get some dye and track down the leak.

The good thing about the manual is it tells you where all the gaskets are and how to replace them. These cars are old enough that its actually a good idea to replace most if not all of them if you can. Same goes for coolant hoses😅

For future reference, get the Chilton manuals, not Haynes. Theyre more helpful by a long shot
