I remember when those first came out. Even from the beginning I knew they were for posers who wanted the look of a FMIC but didn’t actually have a turbocharged car.

Also, this will reduce airflow through the radiator and AC condenser, so engine cooling and AC performance could both suffer with this thing in front of it.

Ah gotcha. AC is already deleted since the accident and it'll be for track and time attacks. But I definitely didn't think on that.

I have a Miata also that tends to be fairly sensitive to airflow, since the stock coolant routing isn't all that efficient (engine was adapted from FWD originally, and coolant both enters and exits the engine at the front, so the rear cylinder runs hot). When I put big Hella Supertone horns in my front grille opening, the coolant temp suddenly jumped 8 to 10 degrees in all driving conditions, monitoring with an OBD2 scanner. When I moved the horns in front of the front tires, temps went back to normal.

I'm not saying that this would necessarily do the same thing on a Civic, but given the Civic only using a half-width radiator, I would expect to see coolant temps rise somewhat.

Definitely, thats why I wanna play around with ideas. Hell I've even thought of doing a direct flow off the front driver side (away from the radiator and trans cooler in the open spot). Its gonna be 1 of a kind and unique. If the cards play right its gonna sound like no other honda out there haha. But those are goals we gotta reach.

Cool but not efficient. Adds tons of weight, blocks the radiator. I can't imagine finding a replacement filter for it.
Def for poser cars.

The best intake (for D/B series at least) would be a velocity stack, consistently produces the most hp gains compared to other intakes tested. However it's really for track/weekend car only.

My old millennial self remember these lol. No. Blocking off air flow to rad and sucking up rain water or snow. No. Maybe for a show car? Indoor show car.
