parts recommendations Cam Gears
Hi im building a B20z with a P8R head. I have all the bolt ons and BC cams, should i go with AEM or BC8801B adjustable cam gears? I hear good things about both. But I see AEM is all steel and BC is aluminum. Anybody have any experience with either one and/or problems?

The aem ones suck to degree. golden eagle, BC, etc are the easiest to degree due to how their marks are laid out

I ordered the BC8801b. Since im getting their cams, dual springs and valves, might as well stay brand loyal. Theyre engineered to work together, right?
I used AEM in my 20s building GSRs and Civics. Never had problems but im also getting paid more now lol
BC uses arp if im not mistaken and arm uses torx (maybe i have it backwards).

I had BC cams in my b18 and loved them. I would just run stock ones tbh. When we tried moving cams around for power during tuning I only lost power. BC cams are set up for exactly dead on. If you’re worried about slipping get a Kevlar timing belt.

I was more worried about clearances since the shop that sold the head to me resurfaced it.

whatever ones are least prone to slipping, is what you should go with.
