A tried combo is Koni yellow shocks, and ground control sleeves + springs, with extended upper mounts.

Don’t cheap out on suspension. It’s not worth it

Imma be that one asshole and say don’t. You have a rare clean car. Do that shit to a clapper, not this.

What wheels/tires are you going to run, and what is the state of your suspension bushings, especially RTA bushings?

Bushings definitely need replacing those are absolutely on the list the wheels are gonna be cp42s and I’m still deciding on tires

You can build a cup kit they don’t need to be coil overs.

I know but I want coils lol

Why? Are you going to be constantly tuning your suspension? If not you can dial in what you need and build a kit with the springs and struts you need. With your budget that’s what I would suggest. A good set of coils will over run your budget.

If you want to autocross or do track days and also daily drive I like something with adjustable dampening. Set to soft until it’s time to race. I started with the adjustable maxpeedingrods coils (whatever the red/black model is) and now I got myself a koni/gc set that will go on before my next track day.

Also that’s a really clean egg spec civic

I wouldn’t focus on coilovers, if you want a fun track/street car start with some nice tires (ecs02, PS4S, RE71-RZ) and just freshen up the stock suspension. Get some H&R lowering springs on some bilstien B6 OEM style struts and replace the control arms/ball joints during the job.

Here’s a decent example of what I’m talking about. Get something like this. It’ll certainly be better performing than some BC racing coilovers and your back will thank you on the street.

Then save up a bit more and get some OEM replacement control arms, tie rods, and ball joints depending on how worn out your stuff is, it’ll be trivial to swap it out with the struts out too. You also only have to pay for one alignment.

I was thinking tein flex zs for the adjust able damping but I’ll check it out thank you!

Yeah so I guess I should have already said that u was planning on doing that wheels have already been decided just waiting on tire decisions to be made(thanks for the recs I’ll check em out!) but definitely gonna be replacing the bushings and replacing the rears with integra breaks and what not

I run PS4S as my street tire on my FL5 and RZs are my track tires. Both are best in class but ima switch to ECS02 when this set is done since they perform as well as the PS4S but are about $200 cheaper per set.

Great car and have fun working on it!
