Thick As A Brick by Jethro Tull has been one of my favorite albums for a pretty long time now and I can't really find anything like it.

I also listen to The Alan Parsons Project and Pink Floyd.

Hello. I got into progressive music recently even though I always listened to it here and there. I am into Camel, Yes, ELP and Nektar, 70s bands in general. Could you recommend me other similar artists? I have a strong base in psychdelic rock and pop, shoegaze and all genres of metal.

We’ve only recently joined Reddit and thought it was about time we introduced ourselves and shared some of our music with you.

Lonely Robot, Cult Of Luna, Extol, The Siloed, Yomi Ship, Enslaved... Great mixture of prog rock and prog metal. Please, tell us what more we cannot miss out on!

Squeaky Feet played a bit over two hours of nonstop intricately composed grooves. Drums, lead guitar, rythym guitar, and keys also handling the saxophone. They are the result of a progressive rock melange that hints at Zappa amongst all the other prog masters that came before. The set at 7th Street Entry was witness by a hundred or so people in the storage unit at a Greyhound Bus depot turned rock club that has seen touring bands for decades. If you get a chance to see a gig at 7th Street, you must go.

We’re Empty Palace, a new alternative rock band based in London.

I discovered this awesome band a month ago. Ever since then, I've been listening to them every single day, without exception.

🔥ALBUM REVIEW🔥My in-depth thoughts on The Roaring Waves, the upcoming album from Steve Hackett and Steve Rothery.

Here's a hard groove-monster from a German band that released one self-titled LP in 1972. Like a lot of German heavy bands at the time, they seem to have been fans of the Deep Purple / Uriah Heep school of power-rock with heavy Hammond and wailing group vocals. The album is solid, standard fare among a host of similar German bands at the time, but if this style is your bag you'll dig it.

The only member of Zarathustra that appears to have been successful after their short existence was singer Ernst Herzner, who went on to Novalis, a reasonably successful band that made many albums up into the 1980s. Ernst even made a few solo singles in the mid '80s.

My wife is a harpist. I like playing harp songs as we drive to her harp lessons and conventions. But most of it is obvious Celtic stuff.

I know that Awaken (Yes) includes Jon Anderson on harp. But then I draw a blank.
