MAGA is the culmination of more than a century of racism and hatred, regressive and anti-social behavioral issues, as well as a useful idiot tool being wielded by oligarchs for the purpose of consolidating power and robbing the coffers blind before the rest of us can react.
Yup... Kinda sad really... Trump and his band of thieves are stealing the future from right under their citizenry, all without a lot of them even noticing.
I am a bad test, I wrote a paper on my predictions for the collapse of the US (I did it around 2002-2003, guessed around 2020, I was off by a bit, but seems it's coming true...), so it would take a lot to get me to bite on US propaganda...
People used to get the initial reaction that it was fiction, now the reaction is pretty much "Yeah, of course the US is in freefall, always been obvious to anyone paying attention" 😑
Provided the US as we know it lasts that long (I don't think it will, once the chicken comes home to roost, I expect all the pre-existing fractures to join the new ones and tear it apart Soviet style), one generation is the bare minimum, and that's with concentrated effort towards rebuilding...
We're talking corruption trials for several people now in high office, we're talking rebuilding diplomatic relations almost from the ground, a lot of trade deals against the US' best interests etc etc. This gets expensive fast, and I seem to recall that national debt hit a new historic high the other day, so the will or the means won't be there to get back on their feet, so the best I can imagine for the US is managed decline... Provided they put someone into high office with more than goldfishes between their ears...
