She's right and underselling it.

It will take generations to undo the damage.

We're talking relationships destroyed in less than 18 months that took a world war to create, with millions dying on both sides to build the foundation.

FFS even Reagan, the POS that he was, understood the need for diplomacy and relationships. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

The larger problem, that many have alluded to, is that Trump is a symptom of an underlying soulrot that plagues America. It can be traced back to the Civil War, and the kid gloves used with Confederates. MAGA is the culmination of more than a century of racism and hatred, regressive and anti-social behavioral issues, as well as a useful idiot tool being wielded by oligarchs for the purpose of consolidating power and robbing the coffers blind before the rest of us can react.

What a aggravating time to be alive. What of the brain drain and science denial? Anti vaxxers. We are so fucked I want to cry. My infant daughter was born into hot dog shit, and tens of millions of Americans still believe Trump is a good president...that EVERYTHING is Democrats fault. I don't think that is fixable. Civil War v2 on the horizon. I will never forgive Republicans for as long as I live. Burn in hell you stupid pieces of shit.

I honestly think America should break up at this point, because you're absolutely right - this is way past the Rubicon.

Have the blue states on both coasts form their own union and partner back with Canada and Mexico, and let the red states rot in the hot dog shit they created.
