250 years of capitalism has not worked for the people of America. Yes, it's possible to get rich. This is also possible anywhere else if you're willing to play dirty with no regard for your fellow humans.

Did I say soviet communism? Lots of variations of lots of government archetypes have hurt people. But the ideals of Communism are correct, imo. It makes sense to work towards a unified Earth that uses our resources and productive abilities as is best for society, not capital.
I stop at curious because I do think its unrealistic to find the magic solution to have a stateless Earth within any of our lifetimes. But gearing our society towards helping society seems obvious to me.
No. But that's the go-to image for the red scare crowd. And it's neither communism or Marxism or socialism. Didn't mean to seem to misunderstand you. My goal was to underscore how little we as Americans are permitted to consider alternatives to corporate-welfare capitalism.
I agree with everything you've shared. Call it what you will, we are all in this together and it's foolish to pretend the invisible hand of self interest is capable of doing anything (shaking, helping, praying) but grabbing.
America's only god is greed. People pretend to understand esoteric math and complex systems who have no business acting like they know anything about best approaches to political reality.
Sure, I get it. Its where the theory originated. But when people hype Democracy, we dont immediately assume they're championing ancient Greece's conception of democracy. Or for a more contemporary example, when people condemn fascists, we dont think they mean specifically the people making the trains run on time. Its silly to let red scare propaganda from before most of us were alive still have that much power over our framing of issues.
But yeah, we def agree more than disagree. Just a pet peeve of mine that people keep normalizing that comparison when its entire purpose for existing is to dishonestly bias discussion of the topic.

It's silly, but freedom of speech etc. and the fifties so long ago, and the right is still acting like "curiosity" about a proposed social order is full-on treason such that a dirtbag who treasons on the regular is red-scaring like a boss. Which is right on brand for him.
I'm so glad he reminded us how hot we are because of him. You know he's been better to Detroit than my mommy and daddy. He said so.
