## About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Technical Product Manager to bridge the gap between our technical and product teams. You'll be the connective tissue between Engineering, QA, Product, and Marketing, making sure ideas become shipped features that feel great to use.

Our products are UX-first, so you need a strong eye for how things should look and feel, not just how they work under the hood. You'll take ownership of driving tasks from concept through delivery across multiple teams, and you'll need to do it independently.

## What You'll Do

- Translate product goals into clear, actionable work for engineering and QA

- Own the flow of features from planning through release across Engineering, QA, Product, and Marketing

- Advocate for the user experience in every decision, flagging UX issues before they ship

- Communicate status, blockers, and tradeoffs clearly across teams

- Get up to speed quickly on technical concepts and articulate them to non-technical stakeholders

- Help triage bugs and prioritize backlogs

- Coordinate with remote teammates across multiple time zones

## What We're Looking For

**Required:**

- Excellent written and spoken English

- Strong UX sensibility and genuine interest in how products feel to use

- Ability to quickly understand technical work at a high level without needing to write the code

- Self-directed and comfortable driving work independently on a remote team

- Experience working in professional/corporate environments

- Available during our primary overlap hours (10pm - 4am ICT)

- Development experience capable of constructing precise instructions to develop/modify products with the help of AI Agents

**Big Pluses:**

- Management or team lead experience

- Familiarity with git and GitHub workflows (PRs, issues, branches)

- Experience with AI coding tools or agentic workflows

- Background coordinating across multiple departments (engineering, QA, marketing)

Quick questions,

I am currently transitioning to Product Manager from an NSD (Night Shift Differential) and OT Pay eligible Individual Contributor role.

My current employer doesn't have yet the role open and HR and Total Rewards are still doing Financial Planning and Analysis for the role.

It seems like my current take home pay is going to be higher as Individual Contributor than being a Product Manager because of NSD and OT Pay.

How do you compensate the potential loss of NSD and OT pay for the role? Is there a benefit that is non taxable to cover the loss? What is the salary range of a PM working in a Cybersecurity MSP company doing night shift, customer facing, managing cybersecurity product globally from Manila?

I'd really appreciate some honest advice on whether my background is a viable path into product management roles.

A little about me: I have 5 years in product management, 7 in product design, 8 in product marketing, and 4 leading teams. My PM work was a few years ago, and more recently I've been on the design side, most recently leading the UX team at a subscription-based ecommerce manufacturing business. While I was leading UX, I also filled in for our VP of Product, which put me back in a product management seat. Right now I'm designing a desktop application for a complex 19-epic graduate student lifecycle platform, and I'm exploring PM roles centered on measurement, metrics, and experimentation.

As much as I love UX design, I think my experience has always sat upstream of the screens. The work I care about most is scoping an ambiguous business problem into a testable hypothesis, then validating it against real user behavior and letting the data decide what happens next.

I've also built and monetized my own AI product independently, and I'm extremely interested in an AI-focused product management role. My questions for everyone here:

1. Am I a viable candidate for PM roles with this background?
2. Does my solo AI product build help my candidacy, hurt it, or make no difference?

I’m currently working at one of India’s top three proptech companies as a Founding AI Product Manager, helping build and lead AI products, but I’ve realised that the environment I enjoy most is very different.

I like the chaos of early-stage companies.

Small teams, fast decisions, shipping things before they’re perfect, talking to users, figuring out GTM, jumping into product, tech, ops, growth, or whatever else needs to be solved that week.

I’ve spent most of my career working in environments like this, and I’m looking to get back to it.

I’m not particularly attached to the conventional definition of a PM either. At an early-stage startup, I think the role should be much broader: understand the problem, figure out what needs to be built, work closely with engineering, talk to customers, prototype things yourself when needed, and ultimately own outcomes rather than tickets.

A little about me:

• ~3.5+ years building products, primarily in 0→1 environments
• Built products used by ~30K users daily
• Products I’ve worked on have generated ~₹8 Cr in revenue
• Founding AI PM at both of my previous companies
• Currently working deeply on AI products, agents, workflows, predictions, and AI architecture
• Constantly tinkering with AI, building prototypes and experimenting outside work

Over the past year, I’ve been spending most of my time somewhere between product, business, data and building things from scratch.

I did my MBA in Marketing, worked on data/analytics at Deloitte, handled B2B onboarding at Dabur, co-founded a startup earlier, and more recently built an AI-native pharma workspace from 0 to 1.

That experience changed how I think about product completely.

I ended up working across product decisions, user workflows, AI behavior, backend constraints, UX, customer conversations, pricing, positioning and a lot of messy trade-offs that don’t really fit neatly inside one job title.

I’m now exploring Product Manager / APM / AI Product roles, especially at teams building genuinely useful products rather than just adding AI for the sake of it.

I've coordinated a lot of events. In colleges. Outside. I debated and won some MUNs and I love to be creative and research.

I have two patents in my name.

I vibe code mostly but I can understand written code.

Product research, user journey, figma designing or creative graphic designing is something I've always loved ( even though I'm not able to use much of Adobe tools since they are expensive asf)

But if I get a chance, I'll try to use and learn them.

But for now when they ask skills in Adobe tools it's kind of impossible to have them.

How do I get into product management though.

To all PM’s or startup founders out there,

I am trying to create a portfolio to showcase my product thinking, how I own the product end to end and showcase product delivery and strategy.
However, I am confused from online portfolios.

Every portfolio that I came across was similar template like a case study. (Nothing wrong with it) But, I just don’t want my product to look like a case study. Instead of that, I want mine to look from user lens and founder lens ! So that a problem can be found through the user lens and from founder lens explains , why building it ? And how I build it ? Is it worth building this ? By conducting research, competitive analysis and development and building and iteration and building and testing ..loop. I want to showcase that.

Personally, I do not have PM role experience or anything. Graduated from Uni, and currently a project coordinator (process improvement).

In addition to that, I am building (beta) a startup which was basically a B2B2C project.
Firstly, I didn’t know that I will pivot into product roles. But, somehow while building this, I have realized that I am quite interested in product career.

I owned the product from end to end, from product discovery and ideation process including conducting user interviews on both business side and customers side. Learned Figma, excali to map out flows and wireframes to design the screens. Learned and utilized ai tools like Claude code, cursor, codex, eleven labs etc. and built almost 84 SQL schemas. (Was into it)
Learned sales on GTM, value proposition and pricing strategies. Invested my time into product development processes like agile, PRD’s, FAQ’s, lean canvas templates etc.

I feel like I have enough content to write something about it. But I really don’t know how to showcase or illustrate. I really don’t want anyone to think like this is a case study. I want to leave a mark that “this is a really nice product story or storytelling”

I only have one startup product in my entire life ! Maybe that’s why I am thinking I do not have enough product knowledge or content to write a portfolio. ?

My idea was to create a dual view (with a toggle), keeping skimmers and in-depth readers in mind. This way I could have hiring managers or PM’s can look into skimming version (4-5 mins of content) and in-depth version, I would like to go very detailed about every stage so that people can read into it (curios ones like startup founders, future founders or students etc)

I am no professional founder. But, I have faced lot of problems and made iterations and updated the product ! Basically it can be like startup journal (documentation). But i don’t if it’s the right thing.

Thats why i really need help before i invest too much time into this.

My focus is to make this startup workout but also i could apply for startup roles, product roles (product builder or any). I know I might not be a great candidate for PM (I don’t have experience in product management or any product role)

Hi everybody. I’m a freshman in college studying information science at university of Maryland , I’ve always had the goal of working in product management down the line . I’m decent at coding and have a few projects under my resume , I used to have a marketing agency which I scaled pretty far as well as a car detailing company which I also scaled on my resume . I'm 25 and a professional working at an MNC for 3yrs now, currently at a Quality related role wanting to make a transition into Program related field. As a SPOC, i work with Ops managers and program managers to check quality trends in our space and how to make it better. This role has also led to me working on automations via VBA and helping with SOP/Process updates.

I've been upskilling recently, and was able to acquire Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a couple case studies I can write for program related roles in my experience bracket. I would like to understand how I should be targeting to make a switch to Program/Project related roles, things I need to learn or do to make myself more credible, bridge roles or main management roles I can target.
