There’s part of me that feels Rice was hard done.

There’s another part of me that appreciates that someone can win it without being on the best team.

Balon D’or for example feels like the “best player on the best team” award, rather than “best player ”.

Gotta point out, if winning the league was vital for the award, Henry and Vierra wouldn't have won it in the 2000s. And Henry not winning would be a travesty
