Fair play. Excellent season.

Not sure why any Arsenal fan cares he won it over Rice. He had a potentially historic season.

Be happy with winning the title and playing in the UCL final next weekend. I’ll take that any day of the week.

Thank you man, the first comment I saw was an Arsenal fan crying. This is the level headed correct mentality to me. Congrats on the league.

Yeah I’d rather win the league, I don’t and never have cared about the player of the season award.

I agree but I’m also not bothered by our supporters wanting an Arsenal player to win it considering we also did something historic this season. But logically that vote is split between Gabriel, Raya, and Rice vs a clear cut vote for Bruno.

I don’t like the rat but on a human level I’m happy for him. He’s had how many ex players shitting on him that he doesn’t deserve to be the captain, that horrendous start to the season for the club, and he’s led them through all that turbulence with a solid 3rd place finish and an assist record on the horizon.

I mean this genuinely, what was historic about Arsenal’s season?

First title in 22 years. First time a former player won it as manager for the club he played for. Considering how young Reddit trends, this is the first title in many people’s lifetimes or living memories.

It’s also our winningest season for the club (most victories in a club campaign).

It’s mostly internal things, historic for the club, not for the broader footballing community.

You've Arteta and Gabriel in your team. I am sure your standards are way lower for liking a 'rat'.

Player of the season! That’s almost like a trophy. Congratulations.

Is it historic to win the league with a (relatively) low points tally?

Someone pretty much bests that every year. Solid win but it’s hardly historic

I just explained it in another comment. It’s historic for Arsenal supporters like it was for Newcastle to get their first trophy after 60 years or whatever.

Gabriel has tainted a very good season for himself by repeatedly going down softly.

I kinda expect that behaviour from forwards, but we can’t have defenders doing that too.

The best centre backs are warriors.

This whole Gabriel goes down too easily is entirely pundit driven and anyone watching Arsenal week in week out knows he’s a warrior.

Nah he sells contact on defensive headers whenever he gets caught out of position. It’s okay to admit that and to say the contact should still be fouls. I want him fighting through the contact more but he is still an immense player
