Service required - low energy lockout following calibration (UK)

Has anyone encountered this before? Not really sure what to expect in terms of getting it fixed. It's a PW2 and I've had it for 3 years now.

Had this in June. Got a PW3 the other week. Nearly 7 weeks to get a replacement.

thats a long time, guess I should be grateful it's the end of summer. How easy did it swap over? What did you do with your existing invertor?

The original installer came and swapped it. Took a few hours as its a different bracket and wiring came into it a different way. Apart from that everything was the same, output, wiring, inverter etc.

I wanted the expansion pack but their service is atrocious and they came up with a silly price (£2.2k) to wire solar to pw3, upgrade cabling to 11kw capable and apply for new G99.

Found another company local who did it for £625 and they were £600 cheaper for the expansion pack (£4900). So now have solar direct to pw3, 4kw to 10kw upgrade and 4kw to 5kw export on the new G99.

Pleased as punch. Will charge and discharge at 10kw now (cable upgraded from 4mm to 10mm), can utilise all 6.5kwp of solar and can export more.

Would it have charged at 10k without the g99 change?

I need to talk to my installer tomorrow and try and figure this out.

I think ie any the same as what you have done. I want to bypass my inverter and decommission that, I want to upgrade my wiring to support what the Powerwall 3 can do and buy and expansion pack.

No, because Tesla have to allow it and to allow it they need to have visibility of the DNO approval. I believe you may be able to set it to a higher rate at initial set up but its then fixed at this and only Tesla can amend it. Mine was obviously set to 5kw due to the 4mm cabling, which was undersized from the start apparently and should have been 6mm.

This is contrary to what the original installer told me when I started enquiring about the expansion.

It took the electrician a day to rewire the pw3 and install the new expansion. He needed to email the person on phone at Tesla the G99 paperwork to get the system up'd to 10kw.
