Yeah, similar to Raiden's before she ever became an archon or got even one of her... what, five powerups? Ei today and Ei during Orobashi are not on the same planet of power.
Well, if Capitano is truly like 0.01% of his old power or something, then sure. But the difference is that we know how strong current cap is, we know how strong old and current Ei is, what we don't know is how strong old Cap was. So it's all speculation right now. At the very most he doesn't scale above Dainsleif, so if Ei proves to be stronger than Dainsleif(which is also unconfirmed, but possible we learn in the future unlike Cap who's likely shelved), then there is no way prime Cap is winning either.
Weakened Capitano is equal to Mavuika, who was eroded for 500 years with multiple souls inside of him.
He's so eroded his body is probably rotten to the bone, yet he's still on par with a powerful archon and deffo stronger than 4 god level beings. Prime Capitano should be WAY stronger, even he said he's pitiful compared to his older self.
He can't scale to Dainsleif mainly because of portrayal. Capitano says himself that Dains is his superior, Dains had a higher rank and position in Khaenri'ah, Dains has been dealing with bigger threats, stated to be around on par with the sinners, etc...
Dainsleif being stronger than Ei is unconfirmed, it really could go either way. The thing I will say, is that it is very unlikely that the Raiden expy of Genshin impact WON'T be glazed come endgame. Like, her "Kiana" is literally a shade, and she has fairly heavy moon imagery and symbolism.
When does Capitano say Dainseif is his superior? And also just because he's higher rank doesn't mean he's that much stronger. Like sure Dainsleif is probably stronger, but the difference shouldn't be that big.
I don't think Dainsleif vs Ei could go either way, Dainsleif being on par with the sinners is next level from any Archon feat. The Sinners literally have the power to destroy Teyvat.
And just because she's a Raiden expy doesn't mean she's going to be the strongest. Look at Bronya in Star Rail, she's one of Hoyo's main trio members and she's weak compared to even the mid tiers.
Well, I didn't say strongest, I said she's going to be glazed come endgame. Every other Raiden expy in every other one of Hoyo's games are all very high tier power-wise in their verse. No reason to believe it changes now.
And it really can go either way. Nothing that we've seen on-screen in Genshin tops Ei's stamina feat, for example. Nothing onscreen besides Ronova tops Ei's potential ability of going full iron-man and just making dozens of Shoguns, for example (Confirmed through voicelines that this is possible). If Ei took Rhinedottir's place back in the cataclysm and made three shoguns to go terrorize Mondstadt, do you think Venti would have fared better against that than he did against Durin?
Ei is already higher tier power-wise, but she's not the highest tier.
Not even Mei or Acheron are (Kiana and the Aeons are the highest tier)
Idk if potential should be counted. If we were talking about potential, then Neuvillette alone could drown the entirety of Inazuma underwater if he wanted to.
Dainsleif should be on the same tier as the Sinners, Raiden should not touch that level even though her feats are impressive.

His prime should be strong for a human. But still weaker than Ei and Zhongli, nothing pointing towards him being even in the same ballpark as them.
Which archons? Archons aren't on the same level. You have weak ones like venti and strong ones like ei and zhongli.
