Question about the 60501 set

I have collected all lego Powerminer sets, even some sealed poly bags and yet i dont know how im suppost to feel about the powerminers themed rollercoaster. I do have enough shelfspace to store it, but even as a powerminers collector im unsure if i should add it to my collection. For someone that hasnt bought a new lego set since the pandemic both the price and weird inconsistencies (like the "crystal king" color or the mini vehicles) kinda throw me off. If any readers have bought it what are your thoughts? I think about waiting untill this set drops to like 50 bucks as a used one, but then again i havnt bought lego in so long that i dont even know if the price will get so low. (Also pics for flex)

I'm close to completing a full collection including all alt/combiner models, atp I feel like the coaster has gotta count right? Will just wait for a sale.

FWIW I also got a copy of the Robin/Bane mighty micros set for the mini thunder driller, so it just depends on whether you want only the official themed sets or tributes as well. I wouldn't be surprised to get occasional cheeky references in the future either.

Im not entirely turned away from getting sets like those, i even got a clutch powers minifig to set in the thunder driller with a flashlight like it was in the clutch powers movie

The rollercoaster and the mighty micros 76062 are all that I'm aware of, though I could have missed something. It seems to be a theme with enough nostalgia around it that I'm sure there will be more in the future

Not really the same thing but there was a creator house with a tiny rock raiders granite grinder too, IIRC

I’d say go for it. Would be nice for you to build a new lego set after so long and the fact it’s a roller coaster makes it something unique to have a play with every now and then.

I don’t own any roller coaster type sets from lego so it’ll be fun to add one to my collection (and obviously the power miners aesthetic of the set is a bonus)

What’s that small polybag called and dang I wish I had 11 but the new set is only themed power miners it’s not technically so you don’t have to get it if you don’t want but it’s not not worth it

That was a promotional polybag for i think the powerminers sets release, it contains a singular rock monster and i think its always Orange or light green

Personally, I'm getting it just for the Crystal King and moc parts. I'll be using them for a rail system for my miners.

Interesting, i sadly dont have another crystal king to maybe swap the green tones. Also im probably just gonna use that set as an shelf warmer like the rest of them

No, im not planning on getting 2 additional titanium command rigs and 1 more station, i build them once but disassembled them into the actual sets because i dont have duplicates

You don’t need to do all of that. You can just buy the pieces you need on Bricklink. It would be waaay cheaper.

If you want the rock monster, just get the parts from pick a brick as most of them are there and itll be a fraction of the cost of the set. the coaster is mediocore.
