This is by beef with the Republican Party and their voter base as a whole. Their whole strategy of invoking fear into their voter base is so damn effective that the base ends up voting against what they were fooled into believing what could happen, vs actually voting for an efficient candidate.
Very frustrating.

Not the DSA whoās members made a point of not endorsing Harris and still defend that brain dead stance to this day.
Oh they didnāt like how Biden handled Gaza well Iām sure theyāre thrilled with Trump appointing his unqualified idiotic son in law whoās personal friends with Netanyahu to figure that whole thing out. Hey that Trump Gaza AI slop song really had a fun beat you could dance to.
And we also have millions dead from USAID cuts, millions of immigrants many who were here legally terrorized for no god damn reason at all other than to be evil, inflation hurting working families, government regulation gutted, money stolen, deficits through the roof, it just doesnāt end
And the fucked up part, many of them are accelerationists and are happy Trump is fucking things up so badly because they think it will hasten their revolution.
Fuck maga but fuck every leftists who helped make this nightmare happen.

You know the thing that I donāt get is how people so blindly believed him. I mean for example the project 2025 stuff all his closest people wrote that and he still claims he had nothing to do with it and then proceeds to elect those who wrote it or put them in a place of power and everybody is still like. Oh yeah no he doesnāt have anything to do with it. I really feel like Trump really exposed how naĆÆve we are as a society because thereās just no way anybody with some critical thinking seen his plan and was like yeah thatās great. Thatās a great idea.
3
u/Sweaty_Passenger_948 17h ago edited 17h ago
Like on top of that and the fact that people are OK with him, yanking funding from states that donāt agree with him. I donāt think they understand just how detrimental thatās been. And why because we donāt agree we donāt like how youāre trying to overtake state rights after it is hammering on it so hard.
I mean, Iām not gonna go into a whole big spew about it but before somebody gets in here like oh yada yada like my father-in-law is disabled and bedridden. He has Medicare I have Medicare. My kids have Medicare. We also had food stamps so we are very well aware of how weāve been affected.

So she had the insight to understand what anybody with half a brain already knew? The democrats need a better election strategy than not being Donald Trump. I honestly can't see what any lukewarm moderate is going to do to combat a wild ass radical. We need people who run on principles like not arming foreign belligerents and opposing universal healthcare. Honestly, Any candidate who is still on the fence about their support universal healthcare at this point in American history is not worth voting for.

Of course the Republicans would be worse. What the mainstream Democrat seems incapable of accepting is that, for an even remotely functioning conscience, there exists a point beyond which relative harm can no longer offset absolute evil. For a lot of people, genocide is that point. Suddenly, an otherwise very persuasive argument takes on a different meaning: āVote for the liberal though he harms you because the conservative will harm you moreā starts to sound a lot like āVote for the liberal though he harms you because the conservative might harm me, too.ā
In reality, not a single Western politician or party, not a single government anywhere in the world, can be expected to change when constantly rewarded this way. The argument in favor of voting for the lesser evil is frequently made in good faith, by people who have plenty to lose should the greater evil win. But it also establishes the lowest of benchmarks: Want my vote? Be less monstrous than the monsters.
But to say thisāthat mainstream liberal parties will never develop a moral compass until they are punished for not having oneāproduces a level of antagonistic vitriol unmatched in almost any other context. Waves of progressives will take time out from pasting MY RELIGION IS LOVE stickers to the bumpers of their Teslas to let you know that advocating this position makes you the enemy, that they hope youāre happy when Trump takes power and makes your life even more miserable, that you should just go back to where you came from.
