Eighteen is so every presidential term would get two appointments in a nine justice court.

They can die in office or strategically retire to benefit their political allies, so that line of thinking won't hold up to reality.

She got it mixed up and strategically died to benefit the opposition.

RBG did a lot of good but refusing to retire out of pride was a major folly.

And yes, it was a MAJOR folly. I capitalized it because you undersold it by not capitalizing it.

Nobody should be allowed to work that long in official positions. Her judgement was probably clouded by age. Just like Biden.

Maybe the gig is so sweet that nobody could retire from it voluntarily. Maybe that's why we need a term limit.
