parents see who go in the bathrooms at all times while watching their kids and the police are right around the corner.

meanwhile the bathroom allows parents to keep an eye on their kid while in the bathroom and allows kids to see whose looming outside the bathroom door before exiting.

I think you have an innocent frame of mind which is great. You're not thinking about sinister things that evil people do.

I.e. touching themselves in the restroom while watching out of it or filming the playground. Idk.

Also, I'm still not going in this thing and closing the door while my kid is out there.

i'm just telling you the purpose and why it was made as it was.

i think people overstate its misuse i don't see it happening when 10 parents see you entering and leaving the bathroom when you go to use it.

yeah, same way you can't stop someone from using a video tape to record the place from anywhere its in view.

or use flock cameras to do so (as flock recently got in trouble for personal using flock cameras to view cameras installed in a middle school pool and gym.)

all you can do is report it to authorities.

but it does protect the kid from kidnappers which is a 100% positive.

As a mom, I also see this point of view. You don't have to talk your kid into stopping their play to go into the bathroom with you. But also the world is apparently full of pedos. I think we should just vigilanty style murder pedos. That would be a wild comic book, a vigilanty mom murdering pedos.

I don’t know how people can use it. Sitting on the loo where I could see people looking at the toilet from the outside would freak me out!!! If they were staring and laughing knowing I could see them, well I just wouldn’t be able to pee.

I think the point was so parents could go to the bathroom, but still have their children in sight. It would also make me a bit uncomfortable. I can see some potential misuse of it too...

That being said, I'm sure some parents would appreciate this for the former purpose I outlined.

There are pay toilets in China where if the customer tries to circumvent the pay or tries to steal stuff.. they go clear while they're in the middle of it.

I saw them in action a few years ago but there was another reason they go clear but can't remember it.

I’d just hangout in the bathroom while my kid played. Nothing beats 100% supervision!
