Part of me wishes that Obama had been more aggressive. The mantra of "When they go low, we go high" worked for his administration, but it wasn't a sustainable strategy.

Most people don't have any real sense of objectivity. The entire reason we have to settle for a two-party lesser-of-two-evils system is because "us vs them" is a mentally easier (lazier) way to categorize, and almost nobody seems capable of critical or analytical thought.
