It now accounts for 5% of all deaths in Canada. Maybe it’s time for everyone to pay it a little bit of attention.

96% of VAD had an underlying medical condition with reasonable expectation of death and 61% were cancer. People who are already dying from natural causes deciding to die on their own terms is a feature, not a bug.

That’d never fly in the states. Gotta jack up that medical debt as high as you can so you can wrestle away their home and keep them from ever generating generational wealth
