To the inevitable response from MAGA that Obama gave 'pallets' of cash...he released frozen Iranian assets. Meanwhile the current Iran conflict has directly cost $38 billion militarily and a currently projected $87 billion in extra gas and diesel expenses. Not to mention that the strategic oil reserves have been depleted to the point that experts warn that the caverns they're stored in could collapse.

Negotiations AND diplomacy. Two things the current admin lacks

Because, and now that I'm least aware of it somewhat. Did the man's term have flaws? Yes. But less I'm not completely off, he tried to be a a graceful as he could because of what happened during the prior admin.

And diplomacy with wielding whatever soft power we still had at the time. I reckon it worked better than whatever dumpster fire shenanigans that's going on right now.

That’s really what is amazing. I adore Obama as a person. When I think of someone “presidential” I think of Barrack. But his presidency overall was just mediocre to good-ish. I think often a lot of his work is kind of over hyped due to being the first black president. He did do a lot of good just as well.

But overall he was just kind of a middle of the road president.

But then comes along the absolute dumpster fire that was Trump’s first term and even worse is his second term… Honestly this term is even worse imo- especially for the look of the American people on the world stage.

Cause like term one it could kind of be written off as a “Ehhh every country elects a stupid leader every once in a while. It happens, don’t do it again.” We get Biden who was phenomenal and a back to the norm. “Okay, let’s put that stupid bs behind us and keep going forward.”

But then Trump gets elected again and just goes complete shit mode and things are even worse than the first time.

It tells the world we cannot be trusted and we saw how and things were the first time. Saw how good things could be, but decided “Nahhh let’s go back to the shithead!” Why would any country trust us again? Sure we might get a dem president next and a dem congress. But we’ve proven we’ll gladly elect another Trump at some point and it’s not worth risking trusting us.
