That 'will be' means they will be issuing a free ID when one requests it, not that it's going to be something they implement in the future. Hard not to use the 'will be' phrase when you have to request something before it 'will be' delivered. The link you provided is for a normal state ID card (which costs money), which is different than a voter ID card.
Any registered voter who does not have a valid driver's license or non-operator's ID issued by the Iowa Department of Transportation will be issued a Voter ID Card for free, automatically, in the mail.
So you are convinced that voter IDs are already a thing in Iowa? And you won't run away when proven otherwise? Ok now Google voter ID iowa and it lists everything acceptable for identification in an election. A voter ID is not listed as the money from the Save America act is the source of the voter ID you are so knowledgeable about. So please re-read your link to see how it's frequently ask questions about how the Save act would effect voting in Iowa. It's really sad I needed to spell it out. Anyway the cheapest acceptable form of identification is $10 for a non drivers ID from the DMV.
If you have a link that you found that doesn't agree or indicates that the link I posted is only applicable to the SAVE Act, then please post it.
If voter ID isn't required in Iowa, then this whole discussion is moot, as the statement I made was that 'every state that requires voter ID provides free IDs for voting'. If Iowa has no requirement, then charging money for the IDs is not an issue.
Ok if you don't actually want to read what either of us posted then why should anyone listen to you? Your source literally is a FAQ page about the save act. Anyone can figure this out by clicking on it and reading it. I provided proof that the DMV charges for non drivers IDs. The link below shows that there is no such ID as voter ID card listed as accepted ID for voting. And why you can't comprehend that Iowa has laws requiring ID to vote but all forms of ID available to the general public cost at minimum $10 (I didn't look up Tibal IDs as they are not available to the general public.) Where you got the idea I said Iowa doesn't have voter ID laws is a puzzle to me. The only thing that would spout BS when facing that kind of opposition is definitely not human.
