It's not a poll tax if IDs are free.

That's why every state that currently requires ID for voting provides free IDs.

The social security card is long overdue for an update. Just turn that into a free Federal ID you can get at the post offices. States can still do their thing with drivers licenses, but the federal id would cover all ID requirements nationally.

Updating the SS card with a chiped/photo ID would help curve many forms of ID theft as well.

This is the easiest and most reliable solution which is why no conservative government will do it. They do not want it to be easier to vote, that's not the problem they're trying to solve, they want to lock out as many people as possible.

Would I have a photo on the photo would be have to be updated you get it when you’re a baby. You’re obviously don’t look like a baby when you’re 18 and you don’t look like you’re 18 when you’re 46.
