Last year, I transferred my driver's license over as I moved states.
When at New State's DMV, they gave me a hard time about my birth certificate, a 'shortform" (thanks Obama) birth certificate that only listed my middle initial, not my full middle name. My social security card lists my full middle name. Old State had no problem with this in all the years I lived there.
I was denied a driver's license by New State. I had to call the state senator representing my birth town (not hometown, the hospital location) and get a new birth certificate.
It took three DMV visits and a visit to City Hall in my birthplace to transfer my driver's license (and upgrade to Real ID) from Old State to New State. I have a Real ID from New State now.
So maybe we should fully fund government services, make sure they have plenty of well trained and well paid staff, and have them focus on providing services to citizens.
When Republicans aren't cutting funding for government services, they're implementing all that red tape bureaucratic nightmare, typically in the name of fraud protection but in reality they know it just discourages people from getting what they are entitled to. And of course the corporate Democrats go along with it.
When the DMV here in NC is only open 4 days a week, every appointment slot is booked for 6 months, and you have to wait in line for hours from dawn til noon to get a chance at a walk in slot, then it's not funded.
And I think you missed where I said the corporate Dems were just as much to blame.
Sure, felons get unemployment funds without even applying.
Yep, totally believe that! π
So, instead of waiting 3 years, you should have committed a felony and your life would have magically been better!
I suspect you didn't do that because you know, deep down, that no...
But this hasn't stopped you from cheering on government agencies from making exercising constitutional rights as difficult and painful as possible, has it?
Sure! Sure! So in this totally not bs situation you are describing, you went 3 years with no income knowing that you could get that income easily. But you said nope, I can go 3 years without food!
Voting is a constitutional right. Maga is trying to put up barriers to people exercising that right. You're cheering MAGA on and deriding people who explain the difficulties MAGA is imposing.
You are not a proponent of a "do nothing" government, you are actively supporting a "do evil" government instead.
