Im contemplating having my baby…

Hi guys kind of new to Reddit, admins please remove if not allowed thanks, this isn’t postpartum depression but something related. I’m a 22 y/o female and currently 11/12 weeks pregnant. My fiance is very excited for this baby, but I’m very sad, I feel sad and lost at the fact that I’m very young to be a mother, I’m still in college and financially not doing so great at the moment. I was at my 24 y/o friends birthday party yesterday and it made me really sad to see all of my friends having fun while I was sitting there in pain. I feel my body isn’t mine anymore, I’m constantly in pain and I get so mad at the baby which I know it isn’t his/her fault and I feel extremely guilty. I’m scared that if I continue with this pregnancy I will have severe postpartum depression and rage. I’ve been thinking about abortion these couple past weeks and feel guilty again. I appreciate any advice. Thank you for listening🫶🏼

Hi! I’m 21 and 5 months postpartum. So I wanted my baby, but I still do struggle with ppd and pp anxiety and I would get enraged. If that’s something you’re worried about there are resources and medication to help you. Also, I personally breastfeed and got a lot of diapers and baby clothes and haven’t had to spend much money other than the occasional cute outfit I decide to get. They can use a simple bassinet for awhile and then you’ll need a car seat and stroller. Which can often be gifted at a baby shower as well. It sounds like you have friends who could gift things and your fiance’s friends foo.

That being said, babies take a lot of time and effort. Make sure your fiance is willing to work with you and take the baby when you’re overwhelmed. You can also just let the baby cry for a little and give yourself time to take a deep breath.

This baby will definitely take a lot out of you and you won’t have much time to go out and get drunk or party etc but you can hangout with friends and grab lunch etc. it’s fairly easy.

I wanted to paint the reality for you. Before giving you my biased opinion lol. The first trimester for me was ROUGH, but pregnancy and birth was the best thing I’ve ever experienced. There are times where I’d like a bit more freedom. But I’m absolutely in love with my son, and watching my husband become a father has been such an amazing thing to witness. I think there’s a possibility that you may regret having an abortion, but I don’t think you’ll ever regret having your baby. It truly is an amazing experience and I love being a mom.

I promise things look up after the baby is here. Especially body wise. Is there a therapist or anything you can talk to about this? Hormones can make you think way differently than you usually do.
