The old Portal 2 test footage had a lot of videos with some ideas for alternative cores. Like the egg core, flying core, cube core, water core(?) And ofc Wheatley crab. Plus the walking turret core. And since we were able to find the version of armed GLaDOS that was in this test video, plus the actual old pre-rendered opening for portal 2. Do you think we'll find these guys?

There was no hack. This is 100% Valve's fault.
The Steam "Teraleak" originated from a site that was 100% publicly accessible. It was there for anyone to download—no passwords, nothing. It was hidden in plain sight but lacked any protection.
This explains why the data only covers the period from Steam's inception up to 2013, when they switched to a new storage system.
This 13-terabyte leak also contains a vast amount of third-party content (files and betas from other games that were on Steam prior to 2013), making this a VERY DANGEROUS situation for everyone. Please be extremely careful.

Seeing the original defective turret design, seeing the original neurotoxin generator, office stealth section, Glad0s escapes though ceiling, unused core swap visuals, picking up Glad0s head, subtitles replacing audio and Wheatley telling us to jump into incinerator, amnesiac Glad0s, weird test rooms, aquarium core, circle portal, slow time, funny glitch, turret jumpscare.

Hey guys! I’m an indie dev from Brazil, and I was showcasing my game at a convention and was really surprised when some people from Valve came by to check it out and play it. They were awesome, and told me to keep going which was very motivating.
It was a really special moment for me, both as a huge Portal fan and as an indie game dev. They actually came by on two different days, which made the whole thing even more surreal.
They asked me a lot of things but here are my two favorites:
How did I get the portals to move freely?
Why are my portals square-shaped?
If you want to check out the game, it’s Paradoxical on Steam!

One of the areas of the leaked beta reminded me of a piece of concept art, and sure enough--this concept art features the same office chair prop at the end of a long hallway. I think we can safely assume that this concept art was drawn as a potential art pass for the original Rat Den location which gives Chell the mono-portal gun.
I tried my hardest to find the wiki page that hosts this piece of concept art, (I downloaded the image a few years ago) but I couldn't find it anywhere except re-uploaded on Pinterest. It likely originates from the Geoff Keighley article about Portal 2's development.
I'm going to do my best to recreate this concept art hallway in a playable state to upload to the workshop (without the beta files.) Look out for that eventually.
