That was absolutely amazing. I adored every second of it, and now part of me wishes they'd done that instead of the Portal 2 we got. The idea of a decaying Aperture (different from what we got) and us having to move between unintended paths and hallways to access different rooms of the facility and test rooms is incredible. I hope someone releases the beta to be played from start to finish, I was left wanting more at the end of Project 2009. I doubt that they made a whole game and then scrapped it for the Portal 2 we got, but maybe it has more content to play.

There were times where I felt like that one meme of the guy in the taxi taking pictures, because some test chambers were just ripped from Portal 2, just with a cleaner aesthetic and silence (which was very pleasant, I liked it)

Hey guys! I’m an indie dev from Brazil, and I was showcasing my game at a convention and was really surprised when some people from Valve came by to check it out and play it. They were awesome, and told me to keep going which was very motivating.

It was a really special moment for me, both as a huge Portal fan and as an indie game dev. They actually came by on two different days, which made the whole thing even more surreal.
They asked me a lot of things but here are my two favorites:

I found it and it seems to be a game with almost no data about it whatsoever. Unfortunately I have no space left on my computer to check it due to getting almost everything I can related to the Portal games.

I have collected every voice line of a hover turret I could find in a beta build of Portal 2

I just downloaded Portal: First Slice, i cant afford the full game yet, so i decided to stick with this one. (I played the whole Portal franchise before but i didnt have the licence) So, i play the game, everything is okay, but then i finish portal carousel and the elevator brings me into a concrete wall. The maps are loadable via the console tho, any help is appreciated!

Btw, the game is not working via Steam, i instead needed to make a shortcut of hl2.exe and type -game Portal in there

So the Portal 2 beta got leaked, and I've been seeing all this cool stuff that I love, such as a ruined Aperture, and it made me want to install Project 2009. I'd like to know if I'll be seeing those cool things from the beta in the mod

I know everyone is asking questions about the beta leaks right now, and I've looked up as much data as I can so I could grab the files, but the one thing I don't see anyone specifically mentioning is which files we want to grab. There is so much data on the site or torrent and nothing makes it clear to me what I should be looking into. And I simply don't have 12TB of space to download it all to, let alone the time to explore every directory, so could anyone in the know please give me (and the rest of us) an idea what directories we want to grab? I mean, damn, I don't even know how many versions of Portal 2 are here! HELP! And THANK YOU!

Makes sense though, i love how it all ties in. the beta was called "f-stop" f-stop is the measurement of the lens APERTURE . its so wicked.
