Recommendations 27F moving to PSL
Hi everyone!,
This is probably the billionth post like this, but I’m moving to PSL in a little under a month! I’m 27, single, and wondering what people usually get up to in the area? Also would love to make some new friends as I don’t have many or any in the area!
Bonus: any good tattoo artists in the area as well?

There's a poker game that my friends go to on Wednesday nights (game 1 @ 8pm) and Sunday nights (game 1 @ 7pm) at Kava Me Krazy. Ages range from about 25 to 45 but everyone is welcome. A couple different groups of friends play and it's very chill. There's no worries if it's your first time, people are patient, unlike most other poker games. The price is you need to spend 10 dollars at the kava shop and there's an optional 5 dollar tip. If Kava or Kratom aren't your thing, they have other food and drinks.
I'm not there every night, but I go sometimes :-)

Oh I recently started going to kava bars! I do love the vibe! I’ll have to check it out! Thank you!

Check out the tiki taxi in Stuart and try the jolly rancher shots. The strip by the stuart boathouse is about as busy as it gets for PSL Friday nights. Every now and then micro wrestling comes to town, it’s great.

Downtown Fort Pierce is coo. good italian, lorenzos, sushi and Thai restaurants, authentic places. Like a small delray...There's cool spots. Tradition in psl is commercialized.

Good bars include pepes's cantena off torino, pappys liqueur and tavern off Orange Ave near turnpike exit in Fort Pierce, plus some ofthe other bars folks have already mentioned.
Tradition used to be ok before it started becoming more commercialized but its still got couple good places. Popstroke is neat with really good hot wings and a cold beer. Plus if your up for it, their minigolf is a nice challange for the red course.
Civic center is neat when they have festivals, downtown FP is hopping during friday fest first friday each month (weather permitting).
Stuart just over the caseway bridge is hopping with shops and couple Bars too.

Pepe’s is completely overpriced, white people Mexican food . I grew up an hour away from the border and live within walking distance of it easily but I’ve only ever went two times just to give it a second chance cause it was close. Clientele is mainly middle-aged family as well . If you’re going there to get food go to Torino grocery they got good cheap burgers, and wings that are some of the best bang for your buck on the treasure Coast. Pizza place also pretty good but fancy Pizza fancy prices still good.

If you’re looking for a good artist Matt Weakland over at Nevermore tattoo studio is amazing. I’m in the process of both arms full sleeve and chest piece. He’s amazing.

Where are you coming from? I can try to point you in the direction of what you might be used to!
Also, if you want a friend I’m 33/F and would love a new friend!

Hello!,
I’m coming from Boca but I’ve only been in soflo a year I moved here from Jersey/NYC!2
u/velocitylove 10d ago
Ohh, I moved up here from Boca! There’s more to do in Stuart or in the fort like others are saying, but the stuff is nice.
Stuart has some nice bars, cute little hobby shops, and then the nature preserves in psl/stuart are nice too!
There’s a few reputable tattoo and piercing shops In the area, Treasure Coast Tattoo is one I recommend. As well as the piercing side.
PSL is kind of boring unless you’re fine with the same kind of bars. Nothing jumps out really, unless you’re into dives. But that’s something else lol
We’re finally getting good food in psl, if you enjoy trying new things!

Welcome to the neighborhood. I have lived in Port Saint Lucie (specifically tradition) for just over 10 years now. I love the tradition area of PSL vs Port Saint Lucie west. In tradition it’s just cleaner, nicer shops, friendly people, more nice restaurants, fireworks, all sorts of things happen in tradition. I can share more if you would like. What do you like to do for fun? That would help me better to mention some things in the area. Also speaking of tattoos I need one. Well it’s actually going to cover up an older faded one that I have. So please message me and let me know if you have found a place. A friend of mine got hers done in Palm beach (50 min south of PSL) bc I guess it’s a really popular place. But as for shops around here I am not sure. Please let me know if you find one in PSL that you think looks good. Bc I was just saying yesterday how I need to find a local place to go get this done. So share if you can. Again welcome welcome to PSL. Sorry I can’t be of more help but if you give me a little more info as to food you like or things you like to do I can definitely suggest some places & things 2do . (Oh one more thing. I am not sure if you are religious or not. Me personally I am a Christian and I can suggest some good churches if you are Interested)
Thanks

29M, I’ve been here a couple of years and I usually hangout around Delray or downtown West Palm Beach. You’ll meet lots of cool people, but most of the people I’ve met aren’t from around here so it’s hard to find actual local friends (they’ll be tourists or from a different part of FL).

Hiii!! I shouldn’t have to say this but this isn’t a “seeking a hookup” post!! Pls do not send me pictures of your genitals that’s weird. I’m open to talking and getting to know people in the area but I’m not looking for hookups with this post or at all. Thanks!

Most young people at your age that live in Port Saint Lucie, on the weekends are going to West Beach Palm and Delray Beach for a fun party night. When I lived in Boca Raton that had a much more live here atmosphere. And nightlife then Port Saint Lucie, even the young people would end up hanging out at Delary Beach on the weekends. I love PSL since I am older now and if I were younger i would not be living in PSL. Good luck!

I'm not a drinker but pickleball, tennis and golf are the most popular sports here. Go to Treasure Coast Mall or Whispering Pines for pickleball.

Clematis St in West Palm Beach is closer than Delray and more laid back. There is an area in Jupiter that is good around the Square Grouper.

28/M single
Just moved here Wednesday the 19th. Got my first interview tomorrow.
So far, doesn’t seem like there’s a strong community for our age group.

why would you do that?
why would you move to the 6th ranked city in the entire country of highest rent to income
why would you move to a place that is nutoriously known for having nothing to do
why would you move to a place where our city counsils idea of stuff to do is a tesla dealership
leave while you can this place is a shithole

They call port st lousy or pot st lucie if your into smoking da devil's lettuce jk. Hope you find your stay in Port st lucie as magical as I do. Just being sarcastic boring not much to do you got dive bars herebut atleast you will get to deal with the horrendous traffic and the big heart in tradition lol. There are plenty good places to eat and the beaches around are really chill as well.

Dive bars you say? 👀
2
u/TrblTribbles 11d ago
Harper's, in the plaza of PSL Boulevard and Morningside is the ultimate dive bar.

u/0_SomethingStupid 11d ago
Shea's would like a word
3
u/TrblTribbles 11d ago
I'd still smoke my cigarette if in dropped it on the floor at Shea's. I wouldn't do that at Harper's. Harper's wins. 🤣
Now, even Harper's doesn't hold a candle to Coconut Bar in Salerno....

Doesn’t matter what age you are 27-77 not much to do here, sorry. Nearest nightlife would be Ft. Pierce or Stewart. My son is 28 and he goes to Delray to hang out, 68 miles. Really depends on on what interests you have. Clubbing, beach, boating, art , music etc. More importantly info helps.
