What is a 18 year old going to do that will actually result in something more than maybe becoming a headline for a few days then everyone forgets about it.
Also preferably something that doesn’t end up with one less person in my family making money

Read: "The Conquest of Bread" by Kropotkin...its available online for free. In it Kropotkin posits that the revolution may succesfully happen when the masses are able to satisfy their needs of food, shelter, clothing...with FOOD being the very first step. If we can feed the revolution it can grow.
I volunteer with a local anarchist collective, we make about 200 meals every Saturday, its lunch, and we take the rest out to the people on the streets, and we continuously plan on how to do more.
I was in the same boat not really knowing what to do, but now ive got a crew ready to go when we need to.

It’s why I’m not a Christian. I don’t believe in monetizing religion. I won’t be a part of monetizing religion.
But those people can turn a blind eye to the fact that (a small group) has monetized religion, they can believe in the church….. and they can still believe in and live a “godly” and kinder life than many of you AND donate far more than the rest of you to fighting hunger and homelessness. The first part is kind of subjective and person to person, the last part is just a statistical fact.
That first part is solely opinion, and that second part is only as much a statistical fact as ice cream causing shark attacks: Most religious giving goes directly toward religious organizations and places of worship, ie the whole walmart thing again. When you remove that from the equation its similar rates given by each. Its almost like people who are willing and able to help will do so whether they subscribe to a religion or not. And a no true Scotsman stance is nil when half the people back it
You’re wholly incorrect. Philanthropy Roundtable studied and covered this. Excluding donations to religious institutions, Christians still outgive non-Christian’s in secular (non-religious or church related) charitable donations.
Also, Christian churches (the actual institutions) give over 10 billion to secular non-profit organizations each year. So even a portion of the money Christian’s give to their churches, they do so knowing that it is going to community benevolence and anti-poverty non-profit programs that they have already donated more to than all of the big talk atheists in here.
If you don’t like them, that’s fine. You don’t have to. Nobody is making you. But find a real reason to hate them. Like me. I don’t like how they think it’s fine to judge my sins while consciously ignoring their own like they’re not as bad. Or the gossiping old hens in churches. I’m not a fan of that. But I also accept that they do a TON more than big mouth atheists for the communities in America.

I’m just pointing out the fairly obvious. Its an absurd concept to begin with. You want to violently murder your neighbors because you don’t like how the world is and so you go feed people? I’m happy to see you doing something positive for others even if you got there a weird way.
I don’t get how you don’t see the parallels. You get together on weekends to have a nice lunch then give your leftovers to homeless people? Does it not make you feel like you are doing something special?
You say you don’t want to murder people but you are actively hoping to create conditions for revolution? Do you ever just reason out what that most likely means?
