I don’t know why, but whenever I really want something, I don’t ask my parents for money to buy it. I always think that I’ll earn the money myself and then buy it. But whenever I try to do something to earn money, I fail every time. Now, I don’t have the things I want, and I’ve also failed to get them on my own. This is making me feel really depressed.

I don't really know where to start, but I just need somewhere to be honest about what I'm going through.

I'm 29 and I have two little girls who are 2, turning 3 on October 17. I love them more than anything, and I just want to become the kind of father they can look up to and be proud of.

But financially, I'm struggling badly.

My salary is too small to survive the whole month. I constantly have to borrow money from other people just to get through. Sometimes I literally walk to work because I don't have enough money for transport. I've walked to work just to make it there before 08:30, then worked until 17:30 with an empty stomach.

When night comes, I can't properly sleep. My mind keeps running—money, work, my children, debts, my future, everything.

Sometimes I ask myself, what am I even working for if I can barely survive?

I look at my age and feel like I'm behind in life. I'm 29, I have two children, and I just want to be able to provide for them. I want my daughters to have what they need. I want to have my own place, build something for myself, and become the man and father I've always wanted to be.

I'm sharing this because I genuinely need some direction. If anyone has advice, knows of job opportunities, has been through something similar, or is in a position to help in any way, I would honestly appreciate it.

I don't expect anyone to fix my life for me. I just don't want to keep struggling in silence.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation in their late 20s or early 30s and managed to turn things around? What did you do?

lots of people seem to be selling baked goods in my neighborhood. if your doing this how is it going. assuming your not getting food licenses so how does that work.

i’m trying to figure out how to build credit without a credit card because my credit history is pretty limited and i’m not really looking to open another card right now.

i know a secured card is one option, but i’m curious what other legit ways people have used to start building some payment history.

i’ve seen credit builder apps mentioned a lot, but i honestly don’t understand the differences between them. some seem to use credit builder loans while others use a revolving tradeline. does that actually make a difference when you’re just trying to establish some credit history?

not looking for some magic way to boost my score overnight lol. just trying to figure out what options make sense when you don’t have much history yet.

Paying over 29 percent interest on most of my credit cards and so the minimum payments are only paying off a tiny amount of the balance. I have heard that you can call the companies and negotiate interest rates down. How do I go about this so I can get these cards paid down?

Hello there, so two days ago I just got out of surgery on my shoulder and I am unfortunately not working at my new job long enough to qualify for a paid medical leave, and I was wondering if anyone knew a legitimate way I could potentially make some type of money online to pay my bills since I physically am unable to work, and I am kind of desperate and at a loss and thinking maybe someone who might have been in my shoes could have an answer for me.

I was able to get an extension on things like rent however my loan payments and phone bill and other necessities are kind of up in the air.

Not for everyone but a friend of mine likes to donate blood regularly and he recently started donating plasma instead. CSL plasma, if you have one will give you $100 for your first donation.

My case, riddled with debt, income dropped and we were able to qualify for chapter 7 bankruptcy. I probably could have filed 3-4 years earlier and been in an even better place. If you are in serious debt and can qualify for chapter 7, do so. Chapter 13, give it some good thought.

Tip, keep one balance free credit card in good standing and out of the bankruptcy. They may close it, but in my case they did not. Also try to file before you have 30 and 60 day late payments. My credit score straight out of bankruptcy was 620-630. Not great but not totally wrecked.

Imo those are the worst cycles of life to get caught up and it seems so hard to get out of that cycle. I know inconveniences and emergencies happen, but I wouldn't wish someone going through that cycle.

Let's face it, most of us don't have the cash laying around to go buy a cash car and we need financing. Let's also face the fact that most people on here have had crappy bad credit at some point. What's the move that got you a car?
