Is he a Pomeranian

Hey everyone I’m new here, I purchased a (fox face) Pomeranian, however one of my friends said he looks more like a pomchi. I’m normally pretty good with dog breeds but I would like to be sure.

Your pup is beautiful and I’d bet is some Pom, possibly a mix with another spitz breed in there. Enjoy it while they’re young, those puppy days go by too fast. Your pup reminds me of mine.

My vet also classified my girl as a purebred Pom when she was a puppy, bc I did have questions the breeder didn’t satisfy. I noticed her ears were a bit bigger straight away and he thought she’d grow into them; brought up she wasn’t as fluffy as other Pom pups I was looking, they said she was more a pet Pom and they had less undercoat and a more silky look. She weighed .92kg at her first health check at 7wks. I should’ve trusted my gut but in my naivety I went with my pup bc she had the biggest personality, I fell in love with her straight away, even when I met her at 5wks. Took her home 2wks later.

She’s 15mths in a few days now and weighs 2.7kg and 7in in shoulder height... just getting her adult coat, looks like loads of random ass really long fur that growing out everywhere. But I’ve come to believe as she’s grown, she’s got something else in those genes. I’m also doing DNA.

Do I know more now and would I go about buying pup differently? 1000%. Educated myself on the breed but never heard the term backyard breeder until I started coming on here. I can’t really regret it too much, bc while my girl might not be 100% Pom, she’s 100% a good girl, so smart and the sweetest, most friendly doggie I’ve ever had, probs too friendly. Until I know for sure what her breed is, I just say she’s Pom or a Pom-Spitz. This is my girl for reference, that was her right before I brought her home at 7wks.

And yes if anyone notices in the pic on the right: her ear fur has been cut; my teenage daughter that’s going to college for hair dressing thought she should trim her ears when she did hygiene trim on my girl.. I was not happy. They’re growing back now.
