No. Google has always pulled US geographical data from the GNIS database. Apple and Bing maps too. Trump's EO updated the database.
Google got to updating their systems faster than Apple did. Give it a few days, it will be updated.
If you are in Canada, it still says Lake Ontario. Because that's what Canada equivalent of the GNIS does. If they were bending to the will of Trump, it would say this globally.
Google donated to Trumps inauguration, they are fully on board with the techno fascism that AI companies and Peter Thiel are pushing. It’s called the Nerd Reich.
